Small, stuffy and dingy. If a 'double' room means you can just fit a double bed into it, then, I suppose this qualifies. Dodgy electrical fittings: i.e. power points loosely hanging from sockets and wiring for the television running along the window sill on the outside of the building.

Ensuite the size of a small closet and hot water if you can let it run for about half an hour first.
No air conditioning or ventilation except the window and narrow steep staircases - no lifts. no assistance with luggage from staff. I had booked two nights and was gone by 7.30 the following morning. They have refused to refund me the cost of the second night despite the fact I told them I felt unsafe in the room.

Downright rude and unhelpful, it was like a poor service hostel, rooms were clean enough but the reception staff well, if id been alone would have been physical. Mrs unable to walk far, just back from Paris, refused to call a cab for us, leaving out the expletives, wouldnt recommend this to anyone with any kind of disability, or poor heatlth, bad enough for the healthy.

Room Tip: dont go here unless you are fit and young.

I had a two night stay in the European Hotel whilst in London on a training course. I had a warm welcome was given my key and then told where my room was. No offer with my heavy case up some narrow stairs was given :(
My single room was exactly that - a single room small but with everything needed. It took me a few minutes to work out where the toilet and shower were but it was nice to have them in separate areas.
The walls are extremely thin and it sounded like people were moving furniture around above me all night.
The shower area was aged - clean but with many areas needing repair or update.
Breakfast was ok, although staff constantly hangin in the kitchen area chatting loudly in their own language, no interaction with the guests whatsoever.
If you like Jeremy Kyle - choose a front facing bedroom as in the later part of the afternoon there is usually a gathering of adults in the park with their cans of special brew and other illegal substances - within two days i had witnessed countless loud arguments and two fights between these different groups- fortunately the area is locked up at about 9:30pm so it does not last all night.

As stated in the title - I didnt expect much more due to the cheap price i paid

Stayed here for one night the location is brilliant right by kings cross tube the rooms are small but this was not a problem as we didn't spend much time in there! Could of done with another mirror other than above the sink in the bathroom, rooms were clean and beds were comfy. The bathroom is tiny bit of a squeeze! The breakfast is nice. Overall it's not the ritz but you get what you pay for and i would go back again.

It is really near the international train station. You have supermarket, Mac Donalds and pubs near. Rooms with space and light! The bathroom is the standard size, small but clean. The tube station is near too.

Pros - Cheap budget hotel close to the Tube Station, British Museum, St Pancras, Kings Cross and Argylle Square. Breakfast was included and much better than expected. Clean sheets and towels.

Cons - Small rooms, the bottom of the shower was lined with linoleum over the mouldy tiles, noisy doors banging all night, one very thin pillow each, there was a ceiling fan that could not be used as there were a few years worth of dust on it and it was obvious that those who had used it had sprayed dust around the top of the walls. Could do with a good deep clean. Hate to say this but due to seeing a couple of not so pleasant bugs had to be really careful with our suitcase and belongings when we came home, threw the case away and chucked all our items in the washing machine.

I would say it is cheap and budget, it would most likely be okay for a night or two, but any longer and you probably would start to get cabin fever and whatever else is lurking around there.

That is the only reason you would select to stay in such a hotel and that is what the staff also expects also I think. The toilet is so small that you barely stand and turn in it !! Room was very small that you luggage could barely fit into the room. Bed was comfortable but that's about it. Ground floor had smelly carpeted rooms and upstairs had hard flooring which was better.
