as promised, i did book again the hotel for a short london trip. still brilliantly located, room clean. FO staff great especially Florimane who recognized me 8 month later and i m sure she sees zillion of guests. however i could have cut and paste my review of January regarding HK and FB. 2 teabags. the internet throughout is great however still 1 password per room, difficult when double occupancy, but the italian Trainee ( sorry only wearing this name Tag) sorted out a second password. FB toaster requires 2 passes ( fine if you like your toast dark roasted) croissants still brown outside and undercooked inside . scrambled eggs overcooked, now would describe more as overcooked omelet out thru meat grinder to give the look. but will return if only for FO team

Dear 1jpld,

Many thanks for posting your second review of our hotel this year. We very much value your opinion and your constructive feedback regarding our services; moreover we are happy to see that despite the issues you had regarding the HK & FB standards earlier in the year, you decided to return to the hotel.
We are delighted that you have found the welcome by our Front Office team and particularly that of Florame to be "Great" as this is what we aspire to deliver - a Great Hotel Guests Love.

In regards to the niggling hassle factors you experienced please be advised that the welcome tray facilities are limited by our Holiday Inn Express brand standard requirements. On your next stay with us please ask at Reception and we will be only to happy to provide you with complimentary additional welcome tray amenities and we will have HK advised to replenish your bedroom welcome tray accordingly throughout your stay.

With regards to the internet, the voucher does allow for two devices being used simultaneously but again if you require further device connection just let us know and we will ensure additional vouchers are made available.

Your comments regarding the quality of the food have been passed onto the F & B Manager for investigation with the Breakfast Team and we hope that you will find a change when we next have the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel.

Assuring you of our best intentions

Eleanor C.
General Manager

After another stay at this particular Holiday Inn Express we thought it about time to give you our thoughts. It is only four stops from King Cross on the Metropolitan line and has a direct route to Wembley Stadium.

All members of staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the free (help yourself) breakfast consisting of cereal, pastries, scrambled egg, sausages or bacon (changes every other day), baked beans, toast, cheeses, yoghurts, fresh fruit, toast (white and brown), fresh warm bread rolls, Juice, teas and coffee, they even offer Free From range of cereal and bread for the gluten free customers really is more than enough to keep you going until lunch time.

Location wise it sits on a busy high street with a shopping centre opposite that has a few restaurants inside one of them being Nandos (a favourite of ours) a large Sainsbury's supermarket, Vue Cinema and a Witherspoon's (large chain pub they also over good food range). The is also a very large Waitrose supermarket opposite the Tube station. The high street offers a wide range of shops for those little things you forgot to pack!.

The hotel rooms are of a good size but maybe a little small if you have children with you but they do ave sofa beds in the rooms, they are kept up to a good standard of cleanliness and maintenance, they do offer parking but at a cost of £20 per day.

We would defiantly use this particular Holiday Inn Express again because of it's good location to the City and it's surrounding amenities.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the fifth floor and at the back, this hotel does sit on a busy high street so plea...

Very nice hotel at a fair price for London. Close to the subway and the over ground.
The rooms are not too small unless you have one at the sixth floor. Breakfast is included which is good even if it too crowdy in the morning.

Stayed one night.
No problems.
Great service. Modern hotel. Near tube station with direct line to West End.
Shops and shopping centre nearby.
The hotel is great for a "budget hotel". Having said that it does not appear to be a budget hotel nor feel like one.
Breakfast is fine and included in the price.
Wi Fi free.
Can highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located near a metro line, which made accessing Central London fairly easy. The lobby and the hotel main breakfast area is clean and bright. Complimentary breakfast was nice. The rooms were clean. However, before booking this hotel for more than two people please be aware that the "sofa bed" is not like a typical sofa bed in the USA. It's on the floor and is made of wooden slats. Very uncomfortable and unless you have young, agile people on the trip (like myself), you're not going to get someone elderly or with other issues in this so called bed. Now as to the free-wifi- it was completely a pain in the behind the entire time. Each day you stay, you have to ask for a new access code and password. On top of that, it worked infrequently and would log you in and out constantly. There were times I'd be told "too many users- try later" for hours on end. I'm not sure why the hotel cannot implement a system like I received at other European hotels where they gave you a code for the entire time you were staying with them.

Even before we set off I knew this was the right choice.
We were late setting off but the hotel reception called me to make sure we were still going to be arriving.
The hotel was clean and had everything I expect including a cracking shower

Free WiFi was something I wasn't counting on and it worked fine

Breakfast was enjoyable

I recently stayed at this hotel whist in London on business. Great location, very close to tube station with easy access to all central locations. It is just across the road from a shopping centre and has some great restaurants close by. The hotel itself is really good, very much on a par with other expresses that I have stayed in in London. Bedrooms are comfortable, breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly. I can definitely recommend this for both business and leisure travellers.

Room Tip: Try to avoid rooms facing the busy main raod if possible
