Recently stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The executive room was lovely and the bed comfortable, but oh so expensive. The room was so hot, no air conditioning and as it is classed as a 4star hotel I would have thought something would be done about this, even if was just putting fans in the rooms as we knew other guests had been complaining.
The bar was not open whilst we were there and really it felt like a B&B where you had to be out during the day. And as for breakfast, well don't get me started, how on earth does anyone justify charging £23 per person per day for bacon and eggs !!!!!! So what we done, like a lot of other people was get up and go out and find a nice cafe to get something to eat. All in all very much a rip off hotel that could do so much better!

Lovely small hotel in a brilliant location. Easy walking distance to just about everywhere especially Soho and Covent Garden. The Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Didn't have the breakfast but Sainsburys was just around the corner and plenty of cafes nearby. Air conditioning would have been nice as it was very warm at night and building work was going on next door which made it noisy on a morning, but this wouldn't stop me staying here again. Loved the Bloomsbury area!!

Stayed at this hotel when the temperature outside was 28 degrees. No air con in the room and as it was a basement room the windows were sealed....result a hot room and not a comfortable nights sleep. However, the staff were lovely, the room nice and the food very good, so just avoid in a heat wave!

We arrived very early in the morning to London Heathrow on a Monday morning. We stopped at the tourist desk at the airport to ask some questions. Originally we had been booked into an Inn in Hampstead. The man at the desk was able to find us a room at the Clarendon for close to equivalent price and it was great! It was definitely much closer to the sights and made our trip in London much easier. He found us a very spacious room. We were very happy with our stay. The bar was nice as we could put the children to bed and come down for a drink. We would definitely return here again. We were able to store our luggage both the day we arrived and the day we left. This was very helpful especially since we were travelling with children. The only thing that was a little annoying was the cost of using the internet wi-fi. Any hotels I have travelled to in North America have wi-fi included in the price. This would be a nice addition, especially for travellers from abroad who don't have mobile phone usage.

Booked the garden room suite here, great hotel, really good for tube access straight into all central London. Clean, comfy and heart buffet breakfast.
Nice to walk into local village for dinner and a beer,
Definitely recommend, but never looked at the standard rooms.

So glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay - it's quite rare to find hotels with nice gardens in central London, so its good that you were able to enjoy the garden during this lovely sunny weather.

We only booked for 1 night to attend wedding on HMS President, we arrived just after noon even though check in is from 3. We needed a room to change into from travel clothes to wedding attire. This posed no problems and we were quickly shown a room to use. All the staff are very polite, professional and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: get one at the rear, someone was having an arguement outside our window about 3 am, not the hotels f...

On arrival, upgraded to a large room overlooking a garden courtyard, which was a bonus. Comfortable room, although TV offering is a little mixed (SKY channels are welcome, but other channels a bit limited and unreliable in quality). Breakfast is pleasant, good range of things to choose from. All in all, would use again. Didn't use it, but looks like the WiFi is chargeable, which is one of those really irritating things on business. Hotels really need to wise up to this - offering free WiFi is a huge plus for the corporate traveller and expensive wifi will ALWAYS make me look elsewhere next time.
