Really beautiful light breakfast room, with tasteful murals. Service is excellent and prompt.
Menu is extensive, with healthy options as well as large meals for the hungry.
I had the crepe with kiwifruit, banana and yoghurt which was a refreshing start to the day. One of the boys had a rather large portion of canadian pancakes and bacon with maple - looked delicious.

Had the opportunity to eat dinner in the Charlotte Street Hotel restaurant this week and one thing I will say straight away is that any restaurant that has this much of a 'buzz' about it when you arrive must be doing something right! There is a downside however which is that it was quite noisy and trying to have a conversation over dinner was sometimes a bit of a challenge.

The food was excellent although the prices do reflect HQ London pricing so this is not a cheap evening out by any stretch of the imagination. I had the salmon starter and a beautiful ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection and the choice of wine proved they do not skimp on the quality there either.

I wasnt picking up the bill but I suspect it was at the top end of non specialised restaurant pricing but the atmosphere, staff attention and food quality made me feel it was well worth the visit and perhaps one day I may get a chance to try the hotel itself.

The "Charlotte Street Hotel" in London's Fitzrovia belongs to the "Firmdale" Group who owns ie "The Soho House" (in Berlin and London). And The Firmdales know how to create a cosy, stylish interior with friendly staff, making you feel at home!

Fitzrovia itself is a sort of "hidden gem", right in the center of London, tucked in between Camden and the City of Westminster - very convenient for Soho, Covent Garden and the Theatre District.

The Hotel is not cheap, but money well invested: colorful rooms with some splendour and "artsy twist", maybe a reminiscence to the Bloomsbury Group, because Bloomsbury is just around the corner?!

Since many Media and Creative agencies are located in the vicinity, the hotel buzzes with artists, media people and stars. All treated in a relaxed manner and you might happen to sit next to Dame Judy Dench in one of the plushy, heavily cushioned sofas without the staff making a fuzz.

A very very nice experience through and through and I recommend booking a room there whenever you can afford it!

Having just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel, I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we checked-in each & every member of staff we encountered were a delight. The location is fantastic - set in a relatively quiet street for central London, however, everything is within striking distance. Like many people in this day & age we have been fortunate enough to have stayed in some lovely hotels around the world, but this hotel is nothing short of stunning! Every corner of the building is immaculate & the decor (especially our room) is beautiful. We enjoyed some amazing cocktails in a buzzy Oscars, which were soaked up the following morning with one of the tastiest breakfasts I have had in a long time. I now need to work even harder, so we can go back & enjoy another memorable stay ASAP. We would also be very tempted to try other hotels within the group, which I can imagine are equally amazing. Keep up the good work!

My friends had organised a surprise hen day of cocktails then Champagne Afternoon Tea at the Oscar Bar of the Charlotte Street Hotel and it was perfect! The mixoligist at the bar was very helpful and quick - the cocktails were delicious. Afternoon Tea was very relaxed, very big portions we didn't finish everything, and we were asked if we wanted more!!! Very friendly, non-intrusive, on hand staff.

Will definately have Afternoon Tea here again!

I've stayed here a few times and I usually book the junior suite it's probably the best bet, a good size with a decent sitting area. The decor is quirky and fun and the rooms have always been perfectly clean. I have to admit that the first time I stayed here they upgraded me to the one bedroom suite which is great but realistically I wouldn't bother booking it for just one, it is very nice though. It does though lead me onto my one big gripe, that room is £1000 a night and they still don't give you free wifi, really, seriously, maybe they think you won't care if your spending that much but wifi in a hotel of this calibre should be free. Also the rooms don't have ironing boards and you have to phone reception to get one. At this price there should be a decent one in the room, I don't want to wait 10 minutes for somebody to bring one up.

Downstairs is really nice though, the bar is crowded, light and buzzy and the residents lounge is perfect if you want to get way from the crowd. The restaurant is only reasonable though, it's ok I don't have any massive complaints but it's not anything special.

On the whole though, despite the couple of niggles this is a great hotel and if you need to stay in this part of town you could do an awful lot worse. I've always enjoyed my stays here and would return without any hesitation.
