While we were at the hotel, it was my daughter's 5th birthday. The staff at eh hotel were so friendly, kind and thoughtful towards us. They even presented a birthday card to her- signed by several of the staff. The staff couldn't have done more to make our stay a truly special family holiday in London.

Having been critical of 2 previous Premier Inns it good to see that the reason we're committed fans is shown in abundance at Monument. I think this is the best for location in London. Tower Of London, Tower Bridge is a short walk. The Shard is nearby, St Pauls about 20 mins walk. Its called Monument because....well I'll let you figure that one out. A slight issue with booking an evening meal and the family room being purely functional (but that is what Premier Inn are all about). Transport connections are well served with nearby tube stations (Monument and Bank) and buses if you want them. Highly recommended.

I could not fault this Premier Inn. Located in a very quiet no through road but within minutes of the Monument Tube. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very secure with all doors and lifts only operational with a swipe card. The room was sizeable, bed amazingly comfortable and bathroom had a very powerful shower. Wifi free for 30 minutes in the room. Being in the heart of the city the location was very quiet at the weekend and if you do not want the Premier Inn breakfast there are plenty of places for coffee, bacon sandwiches and croissant sect within two minutes walk. The staff were incredibly friendly and stored our luggage for us including some purchases from the nearby Borough Market in the staff fridge! We will definitely use this hotel again at the weekend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the left hand side of the hotel away from the nearby dual carriageway

I don't think you can go wrong with premier inns because their all pretty good wherever you go which was the reason I booked this. Great location for families with the tower and tube right around the corner. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff with them even going out of their way to print me a 2 for 1 voucher for the zoo. Too many of the staff were lovely to mention any of them individually but I would like to thank them all for a wonderful stay. Nothing was too much trouble they even got me fresh milk for my coffee in the room because I don't like the UV stuff. I would definitely stay here again but if you want to be more in the centre of the action ie with no kids for nightlife etc then maybe stay nearer Piccadilly or leister square.
