I always stay in Premier Inn hotels when i travel to London for work (2 days every week). They are always clean, well maintained, have friendly staff and competitive prices. This hotel has all of that, but unfortunately has many rooms that are poorly insulated from outside noise. All the rooms are air conditioned, yet have a vent above the window that cannot be closed and this allows outside noise to pass into the room. As the hotel is between two busy roads, this can be disturbing and as such I couldn't recommend staying here unless you can guarantee a room on a high floor and which is not on the front of the building. I would instead recommend the premier Inn Blackfriars. Which is only 3 short tube stops away on the district and circle line.

Room Tip: Get a high floor room which is not on the front of the building.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share your fantastic comments on Trip Advisor. We are really pleased that your stay was a pleasant one. Many guests are pleasantly surprised to find that although we are in the very heart of the City of London and the financial centre, that our rooms and location here are quiet and peaceful and well appointed with 40” TV screens and new specialised Hypnos beds. On the occasions when guests have experienced external noise, we have always endeavoured to resolve this by transferring your room allocation, however as we seemed to not manage to do this on this occasion, please do not hesitate to call us on 0871 527 9452 to let us know if you are booking with us again and we will be happy to make sure you are allocated in the quietest area.

It’s also fantastic to hear that our team looked after you and ensured your stay was a good one.

We hope to se you back in London for another stay soon.

Kind regards,

Mark

Stayed one night in a family room. Ideal base to sight see. Check in easy and staff very welcoming and relevant info given. Room clean and comfortable.
Evening meal was lovely but recommend to pre book table. The Spanish bar staff was very helpful and friendly. Only down side was breakfast good selection but coffee machine broke down and wasn't fixed and pastries ran out early. Overall would stay again and recommend.

First time stay in a premier inn so wasn't sure what to expect. Thought it was excellent right from the very efficient check in process. Good family bar area which was a bonus. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff and very clean and well maintained hotel. Location also good with monument tube within 5 main walk and in walking distance of London bridge and tower of London.

Stayed for a 4 night break with my family and delighted with the hotel. Great room, great location and very helpful, friendly staff. Super price too! Happy hour 5pm to 7pm was an unexpected bonus! The hotel is very close to Tower of London and Thames Cruise point. Tube station a couple of minutes walk away. Would strongly recommend this hotel for short stay in London.

We stayed here for 2 nights in August and couldn't find fault with anything! We arrived mid-morning so knew our room wouldn't be ready but it wasn't a problem because they stored our bags and told us it would be ready at 2pm. We decided to have a look about nearby - there was loads in the vicinity - Tower Bridge, Tower of London and St Katherine's Dock. When we arrived back just after 2pm our room was ready. The reception staff were very welcoming and pleasant. We used the self-service check in while the receptionist went to get our luggage. This was all very straightforward and done quite quickly. Our room was spotlessly clean and even though it had a double and 2 single beds in there was still plenty of space. Our room looked on to a side street so was really quiet but because the hotel is in the City, during the weekend it's pretty quite anyhow. Breakfast in the mornings was to the usual high standard of Premier Inn's - the restaurant area was very tastefully decorated and the staff were really good in making sure tables were kept clear and tidy.

To get out and about the Monument tube station is literally 3 mins walk from the hotel door so this was really handy but even to walk down to the Thames was just about the same distance and from here you could follow the Thames path into Central London - we did this one morning and it took about 40 mins. On check-out day we weren't catching our train until 6pm so, again, it wasn't a problem for them storing our bags for the day. This is a very delightful hotel in a great location and would definitely stay here again and also recommend it to my friends and family.
