Family visit quite recently .Very glad we had booked as the restaurant was full with a lively atmosphere. Zest is downstairs in the architecturally impressive JW3 Centre in Swiss Cottage - a large "clean" pleasant dining space with adjacent bar. Parking is a problem in this area but there seems always something available nearby
The menu is Dairy and not extensive - but for all that there is plenty of variety with some traditional Israeli dishes and consideration for vegetarians
We found the service very friendly and helpful , the food service a little slow but all dishes were delicious and everything was well prepared and presented
Quite expensive but a welcome addition to the Kosher scene and will definitely visit again

We had a lovely dinner and evening at Zest.

The food we chose was excellent; the service was excellent and the ambience was very good, not least because a large group celebrating a birthday added to the atmosphere without impairing our service and general attention.

Between us we tried the mezze hummus, yellow tuna, cauliflower and aubergine served with a mixed bread basket. All these were of a high standard, including the fresh bread.

For main courses we tried the sea bass, a beetroot salad and an artichoke salad. The sea bass was excellent though some might prefer not to have to deal with the bones (and fish head). The salads were very good, though portion size was not generous.

For dessert, we shared the sticky date pudding that was rich and dense, and a challah bread and butter pudding which was very good too.

So, why is the overall rating only Very Good, and not Excellent. The rationale for this relates to the limited menu. After all this is a Kosher restaurant and the place has chosen the dairy (non-meat) menu route with a Mediterranean accent. This means that choices are limited by these constraints. Within its class and type perhaps it deserves better than Very Good, but not by absolute measures - sorry!

What a great spot! Nice Israeli style food, all very flavor full and exciting. Menu was bursting with options that neither I or my friend could decide what to order.

Highly recommend the cocktails as well.

There is also a 'snack' bar on the other size of restaurant which is less expensive but still full of great looking options and cakes to go with coffee.

Finally the restaurant has a lovely warm feel and a touch of Israel in Suburban London.
