“Great place to stay and close to Wimbeldon”
Reviewed 27 July 2012

The Brewers Inn was a great place for us to put our heads down for 3 nights. It was very clean, air-conditioned, quiet and very comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms have been renovated.

I loved having the pub underneath us and the breakfasts were good. The service was very friendly and they offered great lunches.

The inn is about a 5-8 minute cab ride to Wimbeldon, The room rate, for being so close to London was very good. Transport via the train to London city was a 5 min walk.

I would highly recommend this inn and I will be back.

Room Tip: I think we got lucky and were on the top floor with our room overlooking the roofs (not facing the s...

We stayed at The Brewers Inn for 2 nights during Wimbledon, and had an excellent stay. We were warmly welcomed on check-in, our room was clean & comfortable (a little warm but air con was efficient). The food was good as was the service and the pub had a nice evening atmosphere. It's about a 30minute walk to the Championships from this hotel but there are buses if you require transport. It's a good location- about 5 minutes walk from Wandsworth Town mainline station which is a short ride from Waterloo.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear of the building are apparently quieter as the Brewers Inn is on a very busy main r...

We booked in here originally primarily for the convienience of being so close to the Wimbledon Championships.

When we arrived and checked in we were incredibly surprised and impressed with the quality of our room, modernly refurbished to a high standard and spacious.

A great one night stay, pleasant evening meal and lovely breakfast in the morning. The service was friendly and comforting.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to be this side of London and will be booking in again next year if lucky enough to get Wimbledon tickets again.

Thank you very much for a lovely night away.

Stayed for an overnight work trip. Very pleasantly surprised. Nice bar and dining area, reception staff brilliant - could not fault the service we got. Some of my party found rooms to front noisy but mine (at rear) very quiet. Big clean pleasant room and lovely bathroom. Dinner was great too, crayfish starter delicious. Would recommend.

I cannot fault the Brewers Inn Wandsworth. The food, service and amenities are far better than the offerings from well known hotel chains. The bar is pleasant and there is a separate restaurant and patio area.
As a single female, I am made to feel very welcome and Joanne and Julian are excellent hosts.
The standard of food is excellent, all freshly cooked - I defy you to finish the full English breakfast!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

I stayed at the Brewers Inn 2 weeks ago as I had an exam at Wandsworth town hall the day after. Perfect location!

The room was modern, clean and very spacious, with a sofa, desk to sprawl out and revise. The staff were also really friendly, especially the smiley Brazilian guy who plied me with south american strength coffee on the morning of my exam. Thanks for that! Opted for the Eggs Florentine for breakfast which were delicious.

My exam was 2-5pm, which was a bit of an awkward time but I explained to reception and the hotel allowed me to check out of my room a little later and also let me set up my laptop in the bar to do some last minute cramming. Really couldn't have asked for more and would definitely recommend and stay here again if I'm ever in that area for London.

What was already a stressful situation was eased by the staff at Brewers making my stay so stress-less

Thanks.

Room Tip: I stayed in the corner room that looked out towards the townhall, plenty of room.

Stayed May 2012 for two nights. Located in the center of a trendy, safe residential neighborhood with a 10 minute walk to the Wandsworth Town London Overground station and a 15 minute walk to Clapham Junction station (one of the busiest train stations in the London area, and nearly every train heading south out of London stops there). Not too convenient to the Underground, but if you're taking trains around southeast England or heading to an airport, this is very convenient. Super clean property with spacious rooms, a comfortable bed, and an excellent breakfast. It's upstairs from a historic inn which is now an upscale restaurant, and the breakfast area is their cozy dark paneled back dining room.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgraded room and ask if the corner room is available. Room has corner parapet overlookin...
