“Very good value for London”
Reviewed 11 January 2013

This is really a pub that has rooms rather than a hotel - which is actually one of its attractions, particularly if you like a traditional pub atmosphere. For London it is very good value and I have stayed here on several visits over the past few years. It also has a (small) car park which is one of the main attractions as I can usually leave the car here and then travel by bus and tube into London. The rooms are nothing special but they clean and fairly comfortable. The breakfasts are splendid and a full English is cooked to order.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that is not on the main road. This seems to be a main route for the emergency ser...

Just stayed one night - room 9 as previous guests on tripadvisor had done - no noise but it was Sunday night. Staff all helpful and place was clean so my gripes were minor. Yes the room designers got it wrong putting a small bath into a big bathroom so why? Other things suggested the same that designers had concentrated more on looks than practicalities. The light switches by the bed, tiny example, we're too far to reach and too few 3 pin plugs. All minor on the whole it was good. decent breakfast. Comfy night I would use again.

I try to be as honest as I can for our trips. We used the Brewers as a base when we visited our daughter who had just moved to Earlsfied. We stayed for two nights B&B and were allocated a room on the first floor at the rear of the building (room 9). Positives, the room was quite large and tastefully decorated with a very large comfortable bed, bathroom also spacious with a good over the bath shower. Excellent breakfast with a good choice of cereals and pasteries etc. Hot breakfasts cooked to order. Pub has a very good atmosphere and staff are very friendly.
As we arrived early evening we decided to eat in the pub and this was ok apart from having to send back one desert as it was still frozen and another desert had a small piece of clingfilm in the cheesecake which I made them aware of. We also had Sunday lunch before we travelled back home and although the portions were of a good size and nicely presented, it was served on cold plates and did not stay hot / warm for very long. As I stated earlier our room was on the first floor but what I did not mention was that it also was over the dining room and on the Saturday night, the pub had a live band on which they set-up in the dining room. To say it was noisy would be an understatement, the whole room was vibrating with the noise which went on until midnight, as my wife put it, we might as well have been on stage with the band. We were given no warning that there was going to be live music and further more no apology for the the disturbance. Summary, ok for a short stay but try to avoid the lower floors at the weekends if there is going to be live music. Would I stay again? Maybe but will try a different hotel in the area first.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding our Pub and Hotel. We are sorry that your stay was not all it could have been.

As a Pub we do have functions in our restaurant and I am sorry that this was not conveyed to you at Check In, an oversight on our behalf. We have taken action so that this does not happen again.

We hope to see you again soon.

Although theBrewers Inn is outside of Central London in Wandsworth the rooms and breakfast were very nice. The hotel had a coachhouse feel to it. Very Satisfied. Although on a main road we did not notice any outide noise in our room.

Room Tip: Good simple out of town location, close to local railway station, easy for getting anywhere in Londo...

Booked for me and my partner for 5 nights. I tried to check in and asked for a quiet room as the front street is too noisy 24 hours a day. They said they couldn't move us even though we were staying for 5 nights. No flexibility and no consideration.
The bed is tiny, more like a single- the mattress very uncomfortable and the pillows extremely worn.
The shower has no pressure at all and as for the noise and the rattling of the windows, it's simply unbearable.
I Managed to stay only one night and returned home.
The service is indifferent, impersonal and staff were drinking during their break in the beer garden with their feet up on the table.
When my partner came home he had a huge bite (bed bugs????) that required antibiotics.
NEVER AGAIN.

Stayed here July 2012, found the staff to be friendly and good fun, handy location, clean rooms, good beer and great breakfast! I have nothing else to say but apparently before adding this sentence my review wasn't at the 200 character minimum.
