“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed 22 April 2014 via mobile

Went to watch latest Spider-Man movie and it was a feast for the senses.

The entire experience for me is enhanced by the personal introduction to the evening, the explanatory movie shown at the beginning which both explains and highlights the technology and set up of the cinema. The 3D element to the movie is thrilling on such a big screen.

Also it has to be said that whilst the tickets are expensive, £45 for a family of four, it does have the desired effect of ensuring that the audience are quiet, attentive and engrossed. I did not hear one mobile phone go off and there was no unnecessary commentary or loud talking during, for some, the quieter parts of the movie.

Even the snacks, usually a harvesting ground for gross exploitation of customers, was not really that overpriced with a rather good £10 family deal including popcorn and drinks for all.

Worth it I would say.

“The REAL IMAX Experience”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

The Odeon BFI IMAX at Waterloo is a fantastic cinema.
It really is the biggest screen in the country.
I've now been there four times. The Dark Knight, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and my most recent trip was for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Luckily I have a local IMAX screen at the Odeon cinema in Norwich. As now I watch everything in the IMAX. There is really no going back. The regular screens just don't cut it anymore.
But this screen is the real deal. I've loved it each time I've managed to get down there.
If the train fare wasn't such a ridiculous price, I would visit the cinema a lot more.
The screen, the sound, everything about this IMAX screen is top notch.
I always look to see which future releases will be screening there.
Trust me. You won't regret it. Go for it.

“Big screen Robocop”
Reviewed 16 March 2014 via mobile

Does what it says on the tin. Robocop in 3d was amazing (for my boyfriend). Huge screen. Coffee store/bar in the foyer. Student discount useful. Would have been upset if we'd paid extra for the premium seats as they didn't seem worth it.

Would return for the right movie. Gotta love a giant screen.

“Amazing experience”
Reviewed 19 February 2014

Took my mum to watch a movie here. Loved the introduction by the cinema host who told us about the lighting, sound system and the net screen which they use. Be sure not to sit too near the front as the screen is 3 double decker buses high apparently lol!! may get a cramp in your neck! Amazing experience and will definitely be back when I'm in London.

“Yes it IS a big screen”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

First time at the London IMAX and wow it really is an experience.
"Gravity" in 3-D was amazing.
True if you sit too near to the front you will find scanning the screen more of a problem.
Bit expensive, but then this is London.
As a previous reviewer remarked, choose your film carefully as some are not really worthy of 3-D special treatment.
