Beautiful old theatre that's been refurbished (exterior is still in progress).
Smaller and not a bad seat in the house.
I've been to many of the theatres in London-- all are beautiful and most historic/land marked.
It's not in west end district but an easy ten minute walk across the bridge to south bank area.
I came to see Girl from north country. Performance brought a standing ovation.
Love the story and as a Dylan fan, I loved the music. It spanned 50 years of his music! Like Dylan himself, the musical arrangements were changed from original recorded versions. Yes yes yes

Having read the fantastic reviews of "Girl From the North Country", my Canadian sister and I rushed to buy tickets as the highlight of our final night in London. We have been avid theatre goers all our lives and had already seen two fabulous West End performances earlier that week. What a disappointment! Ours seem to be voices crying in the wilderness, but we found the play monotonous, depressing, and the casting inappropriate. The mother suffering from dementia looked younger than her own son! Fortunately, the first act was very short, we cut our losses and headed back across the river. This is only the second time in our long lives that we have disliked a play so much that we could hardly wait for the Interval to make our escape. Obviously, we must have missed something?

The play was superb, but this is about the building. It is presently being refurbished on the outside and I'm sure it will look wonderful. The inside is impressive with a modern feel. Front of house is slick with polite, friendly and efficient staff. Downstairs is a small trendy cafe that gets "cosy ". The auditorium is very impressive and most seats are comfy with a good view.

Went to see "The Girl from the North Country" and i would highly recommend the show. The singing within the performance is unbelievably beautiful and they have really done justice to Bob Dylan. The songs are so well delivered with such an amazing cast and the story line is more moving than expected, i cannot recommend this enough.

Congrats to everyone who is involved in the show. I cannot see why it would only be on for such a short run. It truly is something to watch
