Almost walked right by this shop but caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye and went in. I could have spent an hour (and more $) just browsing and tasting. Ended up with some wonderful cheeses. (Kids waited outside complaining about the "aroma.") No other store like it in London (that we found). Wish they had these in the states...

Behind Fortnum & Mason's on Jermyn Street, this little shop has been selling cheese since 1797!
The smell on entering the place is simply yummy (if you like cheese!).
As a self confessed foody, I love shopping in places like this for a few little treats. The Cornish Yard was particularly delicious!

One of the best cheese shops ever, great choice, good prices and helpful staff all of whom were very knowledgable. We bought a few cheeses and some chutney all of which were great. Would highly recommend the Mountain Gorgonzola Dolce if you like strong flavoured cheese and the Onion Chutney which was excellent.Staff gave very good advice and were very good at letting us try different types. A good visit and one where you canot fail to spend some of your hard earned cash.

I visited this cheesemonger while in Bath. If you like cheese you'll love this place. It's a small shop but the cheese selections are outstanding. Your tastebuds kick in the moment you walk in the door. yes it smells that good! I bought several different varities and had them with crusty bread and fruit for dinner. Thw staff was most helpful and very patient (hard to choose). well worth the stop
