Walking from the street into the lobby has the "Wow" effect. It looks very modern, clean and is in excellent condition.
Check was efficient and friendly.
Corridors have the budget hotel look, but are clean and don't smell.
The room again is very clean, has some hanging space, desk, kettle, tea & coffee and a flatscreen TV with over 60 free channels including a number of foreign language channels.
Bed and bedding are comfortable.
Bathroom is a functional, pre-fabricated plastic unit.
Only, but HUGE drawback is the air-conditioning. The unit is above the door. I wonder whether it's an after thought. It's comparatively noisy and most importantly not particularly effective. Given the current warm weather and stifling air in the Central London, the room was unbearable and quality of sleep poor.
If the aircon would work I'd rate the hotel much higher, but as it stands I suggest to avoid the hotel during hot summer days.More
