I travel a lot and have stayed in a lot of hotels, but this hotel is one of the best values I have booked. The hotel is close to everything and the rooms are very nice. They also serve a very good breakfast, both full menu and continental. When it comes to the perfect combination of luxury, value, and location, this is as good as it gets! I found this hotel on tripadvisor.com and would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The service from our pick up at the airport to checking out was personal, friendly and nothing was too much trouble, the staff made you feel that they were there to exceed your expectations. The location was great and the room was spacious and clean with every imaginable amenity right through to a television for the bath. The breakfast each morning had the best local produce London had to offer and the service once again impeccable. My only regret was that I did not make full use of my stay with the fantastic gym, sauna, spa services and drinks and canapes every evening in the library. My agent will be recommending people stay here in the future and I can't wait to go back to London to stay there again and hopefully for longer. Could not fault a thing.

Room Tip: Don't hesitate.

I am just back from a terrific stay at 51 Buckingham Gate and was extremely pleased. I picked the hotel based on all the great reviews on TripAdvisor and couldn't have been happier. 51 Buckingham Gate consists of 3 townhouse buildings (all attached), Minsters, Kings, and Falconers. I stayed in a 1-bedroom suite that was located on the 6th floor in the main Minsters townhouse. All rooms in the Minsters townhouse have been completely and stylishly renovated, so I was lucky to get to experience the new design they are bringing the the rest of the property. I was told that 1/2 of the rooms in the Falconers building have been renovated and renovations to the Kings building start next year.

Overall the rooms are all extremely spacious, a rarity for London. My one-bedroom suite had a very large living room and comfortable couch, contemporary in design, bedroom with King sized bed, and large modern bathroom with tub and TV, great powerful shower, double sinks, plus a fully equipped kitchen.

The bed was extremely comfortable, room dark with great curtains to block out any sun, and quiet as well. Large bottles to Molton Brown products including shampoos, body was and lotion were in constant supply. I also had a Nespresso machine in the kitchen to help me start the morning off just right. And a small box of chocolates during turn-down service to finish off the night. The internet was fast, although I did have a few minutes of downtown on several days of my stay. But the staff downstairs responded to my calls quickly and I had someone in my room help troubleshoot the problem within minutes of my call.

This is a high-touch hotel. The social areas within the property are rather small, small entry way/lobby, and small library where guest would have breakfast. Guests, however, also have access to the Crowne Plaza Hotel next door that occupies the same courtyard. The staff is constantly available and ready to help plan a meal, help with luggage, help plan activities while in town, and really meet any of your needs while there. Room service, ordered a few times during my stay, arrived within 20 minutes each time, and was fresh, hot, well presented, and reasonably priced for what you get.

The hotel is located within a 5 minute walk of Victoria station and taxis were always waiting across the street in cue if there was a need. I would absolutely stay at 51 Buckingham Gate again. If you like the high-touch service, and a small boutique townhome feel, this is a great option in London. If you like to blend in and go un-noticed, t isn't the place for you.

I would strongly recommend booking into one of the renovated rooms if possible (Minsters Building or some of the rooms in Falconers. I did have a chance to visit another one bedroom suite in the Kings building which was very large in size, offered a full dining room table (mine didn't), and also had a large luxurious bathroom, but the design is a bit more ordinary. It didn't looks worn at all, but comparing the rooms, the newly designed rooms just feel much more fresh.

Thank you 51 Buckingham Gate for a terrific stay. I will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Try to book into one of the newly renovated rooms.

i stayed at this hotel only a few nights ago, for a long weekend with my friend.
it was top class.
we had a 2 bed roomed suite, and it could not have been any nicer!
The attention to detail and the level of comfort is unrivaled.
The Hotel is central within walking distance to many attractions, and only a few steps away from the Palace, but once inside the gates it feels quiet and remote.
The reception and the library rooms are very small, and at first glance it can seem a bit understated at best, but let me assure you the rooms make up for it!!! 75sqm is very large by London standards, and it was a real treat. it was quite over the top actually.
The suite is fully fitted, i think we had 4 or 5 flat screen TV's a few IPod docking stations. a welcome/entrance hall larger than average city rooms and all beautifully decorated.
The staff was attentive and amazing, top quality all round.
Special thanks to Nelson and Alex at the Concierge desk-they were both great and went the extra mile to ensure we had reservations at the best restaurants and bars in town. they helped make the stay even more memorable.
we will be back-and will bring family, friends and whoever else....it was a great find!!!!

Pluses: location (for tourists), space!, complementary evening happy hour, helpful concierge staff, clean, safe, and did I say Spacious! ALSO a very good value for the money in central London!
Minuses: quirky bathroom layout and lack of replacement shampoos, etc., street or courtyard noise in room 1011 (not sure if it would be an issue in all units), and twice, cab drivers did not know of the hotel and needed direction--and this with the famous "knowledge."
Would we return? Absolutely. We'd request a quiet room and more shampoo!

Room Tip: Room 1011 had a lot of street delivery noise: there are delivery entries both street and courtyard...

We had a suit with two bedrooms. The rooms are very spacey, very well decorated and comfortable. The location is very convenient. Breakfast is Ok. There are several dining possibilities in the hotel and adjoined Crowne Plaza. What makes this hotel is none of the above, it is service. It has an excellent service. We will for sure be back and we thank for the great hospitality.
