Visited with a friend on Royal Wedding/football weekend. Handy for the tube & local amenities. Friendly welcome from the staff. Tea & coffee in the room & fresh supples to help yourself handy in reception.
Very comfy bed & spacious room (twin) with a tv & nice big bathroom. Very clean. The hotel has a small bar & restaurant. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. Had dinner in the hotel which was nice but not an extensive choice.
Would stay there again.

The rooms were clean and spacious, considering the city. There were two "wings", one where the reception and breakfast is and another that is accessed from outside (i.e. a different building). The two wings are close together and it is a short walk across a driveway to the other. The breakfast was good, with lots of variety, and the area very large with lots of seating.

Stayed over for the night to entertain a colleague from the US who is over for a business trip, great clean hotel, reasonable price, friendly and polite staff and ample breakfast. They even put the football on for us and got us a beer on the house

We spent seven nights at the hotel, and the reason I am not giving it an excellent rating is because we had a maintenance issue on the first night (leaking shower hose) which was given a temporary fix by Riccardo and was never fixed by maintenance. Also the breakfast area is badly designed for the number of people who use it especially on weekends. Hats off to Anita who somehow manages to carry trays of hot food through the crowd and keep items replenished on the breakfast buffet. Whoever designed the breakfast area should be made to work there on a weekend!
The front desk staff are excellent, especially Riccardo, Claudia and Patrick. They are endlessly patient with the guests and really try their best to make sure that the guests are well taken care of.
The rooms are the usual size for European hotels of the Holiday Inn Express brand and can be a crowded with four people in a room, especially as there are no drawers and only two small open shelves to put your clothes on and a rack to hang your clothes on. All the rooms are the same size regardless of the number of guests.
The beds are comfortable, as are the pillows and the room and bathroom are clean. There is a combination shower/shampoo dispenser in the shower. No conditioner, or body lotion. There is a SuperDrug store close by if you want to get those items. There are an adequate number of towels, but no washcloths. There is a kettle with tea and coffee, but no safe, fridge or microwave. The staff will give you a safe at the front desk. You keep one key and they keep the other. Laptops will not fit in the safe but they keep them in a back room and ours was perfectly safe. The curtains draw together well so no light gets into the room, which is always a pet peeve of mine.
We had rooms in the annex on the side of a very quiet street. We did not have road noise, hall or neighbor noise, but the ceilings are not as well insulated and there is foot noise from the people above. If this is going to bother you suggest that you ask for the top floor. T
The Tube is a few minutes walk away in either direction. We used West Brompton station but there is no lift from the platform to the street. There are lifts at Earls Court which is about a fifteen minute walk from the hotel, which is also on the Piccadilly line which makes it convenient for Heathrow Airport. There are plenty of supermarkets, convenience stores and shops nearby. The area is working class but we never felt unsafe walking around. The main danger is trying to cross the road on the zebra crossings with drivers and cyclists not yielding!
The hotel is excellent value for the money, it is in Zone 2 of the Tube system which makes travel a little more expensive. The British breakfast is excellent except that on weekends it takes on a shambolic air as there are too many people in too small a buffet area. Suggest you eat early or later. Week days are less problematic. There are two coffee machines with so so coffee. Tea is a better option.
I would definitely stay here again as it is excellent value for the money and it has air conditioning in the public areas and bedrooms that actually works so you can sleep comfortably.

Room Tip: Choose the top floor in the annex if noise bothers you.

Staff friendly, room was clean. May want to request a room near the rear of the hotel if your a light sleeper. Water presure in the shower good and hot rather quick. The breakfast was good. take note of the notice in the lift for busy time during breakfast time as you may want to avoid it then.

Room Tip: May want to request room near to rear of hotel as there would be less noise from the main road but it was not too bad.
