My wife stays here periodically while working in London and I recently joined her for 5 days. Nice rooms with plenty of space and nice large shower in bathroom. Lighting is a bit strange in the rooms with it being a little dark by the front closet. Nice comfortable bed. Staff was excellent and the location next to Tower Hill Tube Station makes it very convenient to traverse the city. Be sure to check out St. Olave's Church next door. Close to several pubs and right across the street from All Hallows at The Tower and The Tower itself. Great place to stay whether working in that part of town or for tourists.

Room Tip: We were in room 510 and it was great. High floor rooms are great.

The staff were very helpful & polite and made us feel very welcome without being OTT.
The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the tube station and a 10 minute walk from the Shard (£30 per person which is a little OTT) along the Thames river with plenty restaurants to chose from.
Breakfast: This must be the largest breakfast I have had or seen.
Eggs/Bacon/sausages/Black Pudding/haggis/Mushrooms/toast/Coffee, well presented & very tasty.
There is also a choice of Continental breakfast if one doesn't fancy a fry up.
Rooms were large & clean as well as the bathroom/toilets.

Me and my husband stay in this hotel every time we visit London. However, on our last visit we took our daughter for her birthday for the 1st time and the hotel surpassed all our expectations! On arrival to our room we were met with a birthday card and present for our little girl (something we were not expecting)! Staff, although very busy, were still more than happy to have their photograph taken with our daughter! Each and every member of staff greets you with a smile and are very welcoming. The rooms are of a VERY high quality and are very comfortable. Nothing is too much for the staff and they will endeavor to meet all your needs. Although we've never actually used the swimming pool it does look very nice. All free toilettries in the room are Elemis spa products and are beautiful. The baths are huge, the showers are big enough for a family to fit in and not to mention the free duck!
I challenge anyone to find a fault with this hotel! I believe they won't!

Room Tip: Any room is good enough!

Really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean with great facilities. Nice and quiet during the night. Great breakfast too and good overall value. There is building work going on opposite the hotel and the check out was not quite as efficient as it could have been.

I have stayed at the other two Apex hotels in London but this was the first time at the City of London. It won't be the last as I thought the location was very good with plenty of restaurants, breakfast bars and pubs nearby.

The hotel itself was the usual high Apex standard, with comfortable rooms, a spacious bathroom and Elemis toiletries-oh, and a duck. I usually request a twin room but forgot to do so this time. However, the staff managed to accommodate my wishes, which was appreciated. The staff were all extremely friendly, welcoming and efficient.

Room Tip: I guess the rooms are all of a standard size. There are no good views-but that's to be expected...

I like this hotel a lot, it has modern rooms, the service is great, technology works, wifi is free. The breakfast is of great quality, the standard breakfast has coffee, pastries, fruits etc., you need to pay an extra for warm food. Meeting rooms are geeat. The only disadvantage is that there's not a lot of sunlights in the rooms and meetting rooms, but it is manageable.

In a heart of London, this was very good hotel where price and quality matched perfectly. Rooms were clean, beds excellent and there were no noises heard from outside at all. Free wifi and breakfest included made this the best choise near the tower of london.
