The original PACATA is based in Bangkok but eagers to bring the delights of Special Thai Cuisine to London, Singha Beer have showcased their popular Thai Comfort Food concept in a casual but sophisticated environment in the heart of Covent Garden. PACATA's authentic Thai food origins appeal to locals and visitors alike seeking a genuine taste of Thai & Asia at any time of day. It looks welcoming from the street and indeed the staff are extremely friendlyWe started with the 3 for 10 asian starters which could have been better. We followed with a Tom Kha Ramen which was very goo as was the Pacata pasta dish. The Thai curry burger was very unusual and delicious. A good Italian Pino Grigio of the house for £23 was, by London standards, very reasonable.

“Fantastic decor, fantastic food, the best beer cocktails in town.. A Must Try”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2014

Very interesting food and drinks menu make this little restaurant a must try for adventurous food lovers. Had the moreish chicken popcorn which we just couldn't stop munching on... and the Singha Beer cocktails are just amazing!! Never had a beer cocktail before and never thought that beer is a viable ingredient in a decent cocktail even.. but you have got to try the cocktails with Singha beer here!! We had Secret Garden and About Thyme and something else which we can't remember now, but they're all amazing. The highlight of the venue though, was definitely the decor. All those little vintage knick knacks made the place so cosy and homely. Very fresh alternative to so many pretentious Asian Fusion restaurants we've seen all over London these past few years. Particularly love all those intricate glass lights, they were just mind-blowing. Will definitely visit again.. perfect place for a chilled out, relaxing evening with friends.

“Pacata not quite as good as reviews suggest”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2014

A bit pricey and why oh why, are there burgers on the menu which seems confused with itself. Is it Japanese or Thai and why use ungainly jam jars for water glasses. Decor is a bit cheap. The food was nice, but not exceptional. Not sure I would bother to go back!

“delicious - chilled - lovely service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2014

Popped in for a cocktail and stayed for three and ended up having a lovely meal - really chilled atmosphere, service was excellent, friendly and welcoming, no hassle at all.

Had the squid ink tagliatelle pad thai with prawns - delicious and my friend had grilled chicken green thai and she was equally impressed.

Looking forward to next trip to London to visit again.

thank you
