“Great cakes”
Review of Esca

Esca
Ranked #10,640 of 22,842 Restaurants in London
Price range: US$16 - US$65
Description: With a breathtaking new interior designed by the collaboration of three big names in the Design/Arts world; Esca is a total revolution, not only in realizing the essence of its own name through its Celtic root, but also by injecting this influence and a Mediterranean flare into a mouthwatering menu. The Esca bar features a fine selection of cocktails, which include botanical ingredients and wines that have been carefully selected for their location, river, or biodynamic integrity. In a nutshell, a place to go if you are looking for the ultimate restaurant experience.

“Great cakes”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

If you want a good selection of cakes and pastries and good coffee and tea in Clapham area, then visit ESCA. Unfortunately it gets a little crowded so visit mid morning or mid afternoon when its more likely that you will get a seat.

“Great summers lunch”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

This place was has always been a regular of mine. would always pop in for a salad selection, and of up to Clapham park for a snack. Foods are well priced, with plenty to choose from, and all tastes good. will make a visit next time I'm in the SW area.

“Amazing range of cakes, sandwiches and other foods.”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

I am a real food lover, and I have a sweet tooth, so I popped in here before work. I was excited by the range of cakes and breakfast and lunch foods they had. I got a cupcake and a mocha, which were very nice. The reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is that one of the most memorable parts of my experience in esca was the extremely unpleasant staff, who were not happy to help at all, with miserable faces and bad attitudes. It's a shame really, because apart from that everything else was perfect. I liked the atmosphere - there were only big tables so you sit with strangers. Not ideal if you're looking for something a little more intimate!

“Lovely lunch”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

Had lunch in this gorgeous little cafe with a couple of friends. ALL of the food looks delicious, they have a very nice range of healthy salads, snacks and main meals. I had cod, mash potato with a tomato dressing and a little salmon salad on the side (£7.95). It was lovely, but was microwaved so not absolutely fresh. Also had a raspberry and coconut slice at the end with a coffee. There are also bottles of tap water on the side for you to help yourself.

It's a self service cafe but the staff are very friendly and the food gorgeous. For lunch, it is perfect.
