I am so often put off by the epithet "homemade".
Who says that what food you make in your home is always nice for other people?
But at the Kitchen Table I think the very welcoming owner (Jenny?) is the chef baking all the lovely cakes. And if you like cakes and brownies, you have to come here.
"To die for!!!"
Not only that but the scrambled egg is the best I've ever had.
This is a small busy cafe (with, be warned, shared tables and wooden bum-unfriendly chairs and benches ..., presumably so that customers don't outstay their welcome) which serves very fresh, simple food.
The atmosphere and service is very warm and friendly.
And if, like me, you are partial to a bit of proper music from the 1970s (jazz fusion/ funk etc), you will enjoy the background sounds (don't worry it's not very loud).
This place is very near my vet...so when the dog's a bit poorly...I have an excuse to get the brownies in (truly the best you'll ever have)
See you there.
