“Great place to stay for something a little different”
Reviewed 20 December 2011

We stayed here at the beginning of a honeymoon tour of England and France, and were really pleased with this hotel. Great deals for last minute weekends-- although the price shoots up on Monday so beware. Big, clean and did I mention spacious rooms... great for us to spread out our stuff to organize our next 2 weeks. We have both been to London many times before, so we thought staying here would be great for us to explore Southbank and other neighborhoods that we hadn't on past trips. The underground is really convenient to this hotel, very nice to walk around day or night, lots of charm in the nearby neighborhoods. My only complaint was internet was not working in rooms, we had to pay for it and only could use it in the lobby.

I am really delighted to read you enjoyed your stay at the hotel and found the rooms to be spacious and clean. I am terribly sorry for any inconvenience caused regarding the issues you had with the internet. We have recently installed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and might have been experiencing teething problems on that particular day; however the system is now fully operational.

We booked this hotel for my best friends birthday. We arrived at around 10:30am and had no problem checking in. In fact we were given a free upgrade to an executive room on the 12th floor and we hadn't even mentioned it being my friends birthday! The room was very spacious and liked the option of a separate bath and shower. The hotel is around a 3 minute walk from canary wharf tube station and it is very easy to get into central London in no time. The hotel even offered to store our cupcakes from the primrose bakery in their fridges on the last day. Would recommend.

I have just had a perfect stay at this hotel. The guest room allocated was massive and perfectly clean. Service at the front desk and concierge couldn't have been better. Staff were genuinely concerned when I complained that the milk in my room was expired, and the duty manager sent a fruit bowl (much much more than I expected) together with an apology thus making sure this small incident did not in any way mar my otherwise perfect stay. Whether you are in London for Canary Wharf (5mins walk away) or for visiting the West End (easily reached in 20mins on the Jubilee line), I strongly recommend this excellent hotel.
Follow the directions you receive by email to find it on your first day as they are much more straight forward than GPS.

I am really delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay at the hotel and the service provided by the front desk and concierge team was good. I would like to apologise once again with regards to the issue with the milk and I am happy that it was resolved and the incident did not in any way mar your stay.

Just back from a very special night out at the Hilton at Canary Wharf.

Booked a room and requested an upgrade if it was possible (£9) and it came good. Wow what a room and what a view!!!! Simply stunning.

The room was massive and very clean (shower a little underpowered, but thats a tiny thing), huge windows out of the river and into London. It was like having your own personal view into the worlds best city.

That evening we also travelled to the O2 for a concert, and this hotel is perfect for travelling to and from there. 5 min walk to the tube, and then get the riverboat back....what a way to travel.

At this point I also have to commend the Hilton for appying that extra bit of magic on behalf of my future wife (You can see whats coming I bet). She made some requests that I was not aware of, such as the River view and mentioned that she was planning on using our time in the room for something. I did not even click when there was a huge heart shape laid out in rose petals on the bed.......

I said "Yes"

So I hope the Hilton read this review at somepoint as I am not sure how to thank them for making our engagement a truly memorable night....Thank you.

Stayed at Hilton Canary Wharf (new hotel, not to be confused with Hilton Docklands on the other side of the River Thames).

Got a free upgrade to Executive floor with a spacious twin room, which was lovely. Furnishings and overall quality of the fit of the hotek is of a high standard, however the staff were the real asset. We had great smiles and genuine service from the reception, the room service staff, housekeeping and breakfast restaurant.

A real pleasure to be staying here after such dreary experiences in other London hotels. Location is super for main financial area and I am sure we will be back.

Room Tip: make sure you get a floor facing south on high floor

I recently stayed at this hotel on a business trip. The hotel is situated very near to the canary wharf tube station and the DLR station which makes it easier to move around. However, there is not much to shop and eat nearby so you end up taking the tube somewhere.

The hotel rooms were spacious and clean. Absolutely no issues and everything worked and staff was polite and helpful.

Room Tip: Go for a room on the 14th floor for a decent view.

Thank you for posting your kind comments regarding the Hilton London Canary Wharf, we are genuinely pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. With regards to your comment about shops and places to eat, there is a shopping centre in Canary Wharf and Westfield Stratford City, Europe’s biggest shopping centre is only 12 minutes on the Jubilee line. There are also a number of fabulous restaurant in the area including our own “Cinnamon”, Jamie’s Italian, The Parlour, Gauchos etc. The hotel concierge will be happy to give advice on where to dine in the area should you return to the hotel.

I have stayed here with my girlfriend in February, April and December of 2011 and the hotel has been excellent everytime. It is situated about 10 minutes from Canary wharf tube station and 2 minutes from South Quays DLR station. 20 Minutes from Waterloo on the Jubilee line even less for Westminster, London Bridge to change lines. Also one stop from North Greenwich for the o2 and coming up soon it's just 15 minutes from the Olympic site. I would advise potential guests to look at maps of how to get to the hotel as you have to really exit the tube station in the correct place, (2 exits available) walk though the bottom of a building and over a small footbridge which did cause some confusion on our first stay.

Rooms are large, spacious, clean and very well equipped. (hairdryer, ironing board, large tv, mini bar, safe, large beds, complimentary water daily, and more). Reception, lift and restaurant areas are all very well-lit, and clean.

You will hear trains passing the building from fairly early until well after 10 but you get used to it and it didn't wake us up. Views aren't espeically fantastic from the hotel, our 2nd stay we faced scaffolding but this wouldn't put us off.

Breakfast is fantastic, all the staff are friendly and helpful. We haven't had dinner there at all purely because of the obvious choices elsewhere in London but have used the room service twice which was also excellent quality and pretty speedy although very expensive.

On our latest stay we went to drop our bags off at 11am to go into London knowing full well we couldn't check in until after 3pm but were told straight away that a room was ready for us which was excellent and unexpected enabling us to quickly offload without the worry of doing it later.

We look forward to our next stay at this excellent hotel which I cannot recommened enough.
