Went with a friend. Had crab and crayfish pasta was ok not bad. Service left a lot to be desired. 20 mins for glass of wine to arrive !!! Wouldn't rush back. Cheeky to add 12.5% for service.

“Awful service, mediocre food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014 via mobile

Visited on a Friday night with a table booked for 2 for 7pm.

Great atmosphere-really buzzing and was excited to arrive. Seated quickly and given about five different menus, pet hate- too much choice!!

Chose the lobster steak and prosecco deal.... took a reasonable amount of time to arrive. What a let down!! Lobster was cold and tasteless, steak was chewy. The sorry looking rocket shouldve never made it into the plate. The chunky chips were the best thing about it!

It was the service that really let down the experience. It was slow and rushed, we had to ask for our prosecco which was meant to come with the meal, we had to constantly get the waiters eye to do anything ask for sauce, ask for another drink and ask for the bill... there is clearly just not enough of them.

Really feel let down by the whole experience just stick ti drinks downstairs.

“Mixed reviews....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2014 via mobile

My friends and I decided to try here for the first time one Sunday afternoon and everyone seems to have had a different experience. The decor and ambience were lovely, the drinks/cocktails all round were quite good, but the service was inconsistent as some of the wait staff were really good while a couple were a bit spaced out and overall ineffective. However, the food seems to be where the greatest disparity lies....we shared a prawn appetizer that was just okay, I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb burger with a side of roman fries but everyone who ordered the steak and fries or steak sunday roast complained that it was tough as a rubber boot and equally tasty. Then one of my friends ordered a crab linguine dish only to discover after a few bites that there was no crab in it. When she told the waiter, he advised her that the chef had run out of crab but I guess they were hoping she wouldn't notice..hmmmm. Thankfully they allowed her to get a new meal but we were wondering why they didn't just give her that option in the first place. Thank goodness we still had some good laughs but sad to say we won't be rushing back in a hurry...if you get my drift....

“Bad service for a second time”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014

I took some clients for a drink in Drift just before Christmas 2013, service was so bad we left. Recently, my team held some drinks in Drift in the bar downstairs, perfectly adequate drinks if slow service. After the drinks had finished, we asked if we could eat and were directed upstairs where we were, reluctantly, greeted by a member of staff who informed us that the kitchen was being cleaned and the only food on offer was burgers. When we asked to have 5 minutes to consider, we were treated as if our request was the most unreasonable ever made. Needless to say, I can't recommend this bar and will not be back.

“No sense of service whatsoever...”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014 via mobile

The staff here do not appear as if they want to serve customers. We waited at least 10 minutes to even be allowed to order our drinks, which took another 10 minutes to arrive, despite us being one of the two parties at the venue at the time. This place either needs to recruit new staff or it deserves to shut its doors soon, I'm sorry.
