Went to this dive on Saturday 5th July for my boyfriends birthday. I pre booked a 'private area' which i paid a deposit for... this was two seats and a tiny table next to the toilet.... Staff are beyond rude apart from Natalie... Full of stag and hen nights, £20 drinks were taken away from the table when we went outside for a smoke even though we had told a waitress that we were NOT leaving... Drinks replaced with TERRIBLE mojitos.... I make better and i am by no means a cocktail waitress!!!!!!!!!! Pre ordered champagne which was supposed to be served on arrival... NOPE... Waited 15 minutes then went to bar to find out what was happened after the surprise was ruined as my boyfriend wanted a drink so had to tell him.... Bar girl had no idea what i was going on about looked at a piece of paper three or four times before finally going to someone who had a clue.... (Natalie)... Good decor, terrible clientele, terrible service, terrible atmosphere for an intimate occasion... Very chavvy in this place... Even the bar staff.... Chewing gum etc... Awful... NEVER AGAIN.... Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Worth it.”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

If you're looking for a place to go an a date or just to hang around with friends The Foundation Bar is the place to be. The interior of the place is fun and quirky: from egg chairs, to lego tables, vinyl albums as menus and graffiti designs in the restrooms.
The Happy Hour is the best one by far. For two and a half hours absolutely everything is half price, so you can surprise your friends with the quirkiest cocktails or a nicest bottle of champagne or wine for a good price. The drinks are served with the weirdest garnishes surely to put a smile on your face.
The staff is young and energetic, good looking people who are friendly, polite and very helpful. The service is fast and entertaining. Everyone behind the bar seems to be enjoying themselves and taking pride in what they're doing so ultimately it gives out good vibes and quality drinks.
This is a place to be and surely worth of your time.

“Great venue, great cocktails and amazing service”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

I visited foundation bar with 4 friends for a birthday event and had a great night. I was welcomed by an amazing waitress who looked after us all night. The drinks were great, especially the cocktails and champagne, and they were good value for money especially at happy hour. The food platter was also great.

The music played added to the fun vibe of the bar and I would definitely recommend a visit.

“Work do”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

I booked an afternoon work celebration (lunch + drinks) at Foundation for 50 colleagues, in their diner area. We all had a great time; the service was impeccable and the staff were accommodating and calm - particularly good as we got stuck in traffic and arrived late for set up in a flap! Equipment/music etc all perfect; excellent choice of menu options and drinks led to a great event. Even though we were on quite a tight schedule, we never felt rushed by the staff. Would definitely recommend.

“25th Birthday Party”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

Hired out the Scribble for a 25th birthday party and thumbs up all round.

The room was the perfect size and I loved that it was semi-private. So you feel like you have your own little area where the group can hang out and not be bumped into by the rest of the crowd, but aslo right off the main dancefloor, close to the action and the atmosphere. Party was for 30ish people - the room was a perfect size for us. Some people could sit and some could stand without it being squashed or too big. Its also a bit quieter here as its around the corner from the DJ booth and kind of insulated) so can just about have a conversation - but its still a club so this is within reason. You are of course still raising your voice to be heard.

Had to put down a £500 minimum spend in advance in order to secure the room, on food and drinks. They were all fine. Kinda standard food and drinks - its not fine dining or anything, but not a rip off either. Ordered some canapes from the corporate menu which everyone was happy to eat (but as I said, if you're looking for Michelin-starred gourmet dining this is not the place for you).

The club itself was great. Had a variety of ages from 22 - 34 and everyone enjoyed themselves. Great drinks, great music, great atmosphere, Fun without being messy and obscene, cool without being pretentious. Would definitely go again, and highly highly recommend if you are throwing an event,

BEST THING - THE SERVICE. Before the event, during and after. I did everything quite last minute and they were still able to pull it all together so well. Had a waitress attending to us all night. Brought some cake in early which they stored in their fridge and even saved the boxes for us to be able to take the excess home later!!!

CONS - everyone pays £5 entry after 9PM. Even though I had already spent £500 to get the Scribble room and had my own guestlist. They really should have let that slide for out group.
