“Avoid, if you're looking for nice place”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2014

The room were were given had to couches and both were stained with stuff i dread to think of, the chestboard was made of very cheap plastic and was obnoxious to the eye, not the sort of thing you want to see in your holiday.

Room Tip: avoid getting to the place at night, streets are worrisome

Asked for a family room and got one located between a games room and a communal lounge so there was noise from midnight till early morning....and by noise I mean drunk men laughing and using expletive laden conversation. We didn't sleep at all. Then got a call at around 8am telling us to come fir breakfast even though it was laid on till 10.30!!!.
Only plus point was it was reasonably clean!

First time at the Forest View. Warm greeting from night reception who was helpful and informative. Room was in annexe at rear of hotel. Was very impressed with car park at rear with electronic gates in operation. Room was basic with small en-suite but had every thing needed for our one night stay. Clean and comfortable an ideal size for two people. Tea and coffee facilities were in the room on our arrival, very welcome. Breakfast was in the small dining room, full English was available and very nice it was too. All in all a very enjoyable stay and going on London prices well reasonable. Very handy for Westfield , Stratford and the Olympic Park. Many thanks to all staff for a pleasant stay.

The hotel is nice and cozy, and is conveniently located near a bus stop. The buss will take you to the area around Stratford Subway station in about 5 minutes. There you find quite a few shops and restaurants. If you want to go to the city centre, there are several options by bus or subway, but they all take a bit of time. There is also a 24 hour bus service to Oxford Circus. We were in London for two nights, and the travel time to the city centre effectively limited us to one trip each day.

The staff is helpful, and will let you in and get you your key 24 hours. Our room was nice and clean with a good amount of space, and our bathroom was modern and practical, but there were no WiFi or other internet connection in our room (and we were one of the rooms closest to the lounge).

The included breakfast was good, but the restaurant was too small, so expect to wait in line for a while. We passed the waiting on the WiFi in the lounge.

We stayed at the Forest View for 3 nights and were very happy with all aspects of this hotel. It offers budget accommodation but, having stayed previously at similar hotels in London, we were very impressed by standards of cleanliness and details such as the provision of shampoo/soap and daily change of towels. The bed was very comfortable and bathrooms (we had shared facilities) & shower clean and well appointed. Plenty of hot water, too. Breakfast is served in a nice downstairs room, offering a good choice and quality (lovely bacon!). White bread only but that is to be expected, I suppose. Stratford is a good location well served by transport links. There is a bus stop outside the hotel with a very regular service that takes you quickly to the station. We came back each night quite late and had no problems. The main road is quite noisy but we slept pretty well anyway. Staff are friendly and always available. I would definitely stay again at the Forest View and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for reasonably priced accommodation in London. There are many places charging more that don't have the same standards of cleanliness and comfort.

We found this ideally located hotel on a planned trip to visit family in Stratford, London. The Hotel is basic but clean, comfortable and reasonably priced for London. There is secure parking at the rear. The room was en suite and had the normal facilities. Breakfast was included and was excellent. The main building has many original Victorian features, there is a friendly Bar and well appointed restaurant. It is only a short walk to Stratford village and Tube or bus to Central London. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite.

Room Tip: Annexe rooms to rear meant no noise from main road.
