We were originally booked into a self serviced apartment down the road from The Hampton, however after discovering the apartment had no hot water and even after phone contact and one night stay, with no fix in sight I contacted the Hampton with the hope that they had a room available at last minute. We were lucky and was offered me a fantastic room for a good price.

It was our last night in London and I did not want to fly home grimy, so it was with excitement we entered the room. Much to our delight it was spacious, luxurious and had a lovely large bathroom, with running hot water!

Twin king singles, both lovely soft mattresses, big fluffy pillows and clean, starched linen. Beautiful! Large TV with plenty of channels, a lovely service tray with all the tea and coffee you need for a nights stay.

The bathroom had Large fluffy towels, fantastic toiletries and a really great shower, with fantastic water pressure. Both my daughter and I had a lovely long shower.

Breakfast was brilliant with such a huge selection of cereals, toast, muffins, cakes, hot selections and more. It was a feast on the eyes. (and the stomach)

We also stayed at the restaurant for dinner the night before and both the food and service was top notch. The bar even created a drink for me that I requested and they did not have on their wine menu. Nothing was a bother.

Check in and Check out was a breeze and we will most definitely stay here again when we are in London again. So close to everything!

What a lovely hotel. Staff friendly and very helpful. Hotel room very clean, fantastic bathroom with everything you need and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
Breakfast was amazing and you are really spoilt for choice. You could have full English, cereal, fruit or even muffins, and of course toast, tea, coffee or hot chocolate.
Location is very central for everything you would like to see in London. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely visit again.

Pros
Five minute walk to Waterloo tube station
Twenty minute walk to Big Ben
New and clean
Breakfast included
Reasonable price for London, if you think $250 CDN per night is reasonable.
Very good Indian/Portuguese restaurant linked to hotel

Cons
Lack of staff available to help as this is not a full service hotel which means:
- Long check-in time.
- Long check-out time.
- Drop off and pick up your laundry at the front desk.
- Calls to reception go unanswered
- Long waits at reception to get ask for information or make inquiries.
Unresponsive and Unconcerned Staff which means:
- Some staff don't speak English
- Complaints are met with a look of indifference
- Testing fire alarms during the day without informing patrons
- Changing lobby TV channels to dance music, when patrons were currently watching TV
- Reception cannot offer information on local eateries other than suggesting eating at the Station
Wireless internet is NOT high-speed
General feeling of being cramped because of:
- small rooms
- small elevators
- tight lobby area
- tight breakfast area
Offering the same unchanging buffet breakfast everyday.
No peanut butter at breakfast

When we arrived there had been a mistake with my booking - I had used Booking.com. The staff took care of quickly and efficiently and even upgraded our room. The hotel was modern, clean, and very, very comfortable. Staff was available to assist and answer questions. Overall a great place, good location and the next time we in London we will stay there!

We are a couple (36 & 37 years) that traveled this time whitout our 3 children. Wery nice and fresh hotel for a small amount of money. Only little thing that not so good are the pillows that are like rocks! Perfect location only 1-2 mins. walk from Waterloo station. Friendly staff!

I chose this hotel for a weekend treat for my wife's birthday having stayed previously on business. Everything about the hotel is excellent - the service, the rooms, the amenities and the staff. The hotel is very convenient for many London attractions as well as the South Bank. I will definitely stay again.

My family and I stayed at this hotel while on an overnight layover in London. We found it very easy to find (turn right as you exit from Waterloo Station and you can see the sign) and were welcomed warmly. I asked the gentleman at the front desk for a restaurant recommendation and help with booking a car to the airport the next morning. He addressed both of these promptly and very adequately. We had no problem finding a suitable restaurant in the area he recommended and the car he arranged arrived on time and was great in terms of friendliness, service, and value. Breakfast was done very well and much better than stateside properties with the Hampton Inn brand. The room was small (normal for central London) but efficiently laid out with a sliding door that did double duty as alternatively closet or bathroom closure. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor with a view of the London Eye.
