“Good value for the location”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

We stayed here for one night recently in order to see friends in London. This is a fairly new hotel, modern and well maintained, with well trained staff. The location is down from the Old Vic, and reasonably near to the South Bank. The rooms are an average to small size, which is typical for London. Our room had a shower only with bathroom amenities screwed to the walls, presumably to stop guests taking them, no heated towel rail, or clothes rail to hang overnight washing - socks etc, The air conditioning is very noisy, but fortunately we were able to turn it off and it was not a warm evening. Not good in the height of summer.
Wi Fi is free in the room.
There is a Goan restaurant in the hotel - strange choice given the clientele - and a bar
Buffet breakfast is adequate, but not great, and the room is too narrow for the crowds that get there. The breakfast room is also completely glassed to the street, which is fine is fine as long as you do not mind commuters staring in.
London hotels are increasingly overpriced for what is generally delivered but overall this is a good budget hotel in a good location.

Room Tip: At the back, away from Waterloo Road.

We spent one night at this hotel. The staff was all really friendly and helpful.

The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. We got two different pillows to choose between, there was AC (our trip was during a hot week in London, so it was much appreciated) and the bathroom excellent.

Everything looked really good, so we looked forward to a good breakfast. It was, however, highly disappointing. There weren't many breakfast items to choose from and most of them felt ready-made (especially the scrambled eggs). The potatoes were cold, the bread at best average and we got the feeling the hotel didn't put their heart into this. All in all, we found the food to be of low quality. Also: no bacon or fried eggs, and the coffee was terrible. We expected more, especially since the hotel has "Hilton" in its name.

The hotel is in a great location, just down road from train station. Tourist locations within easy walking distance. The hotel is clean, bright and busy. Staff friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and kept very clean. The breakfast was fine, eat as much as you want. Will use this hotel again.

Stayed here for business and some vacation time at the end of the trip - chose the location to be near Waterloo Station for easy travel to the Farnborough Air Show. Besides being a Hilton traveler, the hotel was great.

I was pleasantly surprised with how big the room and and bathroom was - didn't expect this as I am used to smaller room sizes in London. And having free Wifi in the room was a huge plus.

Breakfast was above average - it gets quite busy around 830am so if an early riser, it is best to get there early. There is a restaurant attached but didn't eat there - so many options around the corner from the hotel to choose from, especially Waterloo Bar + Kitchen which is 50 meters or so away (a must by the way).

You are also about 10-15 minutes away from the London Eye and Big Ben/Parliament. Just a great location to explore and great value for the room cost. The staff were very helpful with directions and suggestions. Will stay again!

Room Tip: Unless you are using a car service, would suggest that when arriving in LHR to take the Heathrow shu...

Stayed 7 nights in a queen room with kids in a twin room - 7th floor. Views were good. Super bathroom and great shower. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and service. Staff were super helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was sometimes busy but excellent. Lifts can get congested but there's always the stairs! WiFi was good in the rooms. Easy walk to south bank area, 5 mins to Waterloo Station & Underground and 15 mins to Covent Garden. Highly recommend The Laughing Gravy restaurant nearlby (3 mins walk). Definitely recommend and we will be back.

Lovely hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bar servers a very nice cold Heineken. The rooms are lovely, clean and modern with a very comfortable bed. Good Internet access in the lounge (from PCs), and good free Wifi. Lovely toileteries in the room. And the free breakfast really is superb.

The Hotel is nearby the Waterloo Station (5min away). Free WLAN in the lobby and the rooms with very good quality.
The Service Personal is very friendly and check-in check-out was uncomplicated. Breakfast Room between 8.45am and 10.00 am is crowdy so do the breakfast before 9.00am. The rooms are new, clean and modern. Sleeping was wonderful. Safe is included.

Best Effort for an sightseeing and shopping trip in london. London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben are 20min away and reachable by feet.
