“For a night out - a lovely thing do to in London”

When its so hard to find couply things to do in london that don't cost an arm and a leg and when you are sick of going to restaurants, can't get a decently priced theatre ticket, exhibitions are not the thing for you to do….. consider a night out at the cinema Odeon Lounge style. It was great…. don't start comparing it with the normal price of a ticket start pricing the tickets as a nice night out. The wine is reasonably priced and very nice, the food is very decent and the staff are very good.

tip. the service charge is not a tip… i.e. the staff to not directly or as a group receive it as a reflection of the level of service. AN OUTRAGE. you are legally allowed to request that the service is not included and to pay it in cash to those who have served you so well…. i would advise this until the anomaly of this outrage is addressed in law. p.p.s. we felt so bad that we additionally tipped the staff…. should we really have to do this?????

Comfortable seats is the big big plus. I think i paid less than 20pounds and received amazing comfort! The only downside is they do not project all movies. They are serving good food from cafe anglais...a hidden place in london

Went to see wolf of Wall Street. It's a 3 hour film so perfect to go to the lounge for this!!

£22.50 for a ticket.

The nearest station was bayswater and it was literally a 3 minute walk to the cinema. You go to the top floor of whiteleys shopping mall. You collect your tickets from a separate "lounge" desk so immediately you feel quite special and it feels exclusive.

You have a separate entrance to the lounge cinema which are up some stairs and u are greeted by a member of staff in front of a huge bar area. They take you to a seat - leather, low chairs, mood lighting.

Now I noticed some people ordered food before they went through to the movie and ate before they went in however we wanted the full experience of eating in the actual cinema so we just ordered a couple of drinks whilst we waited. We got there about 45 minutes before only so that we could make full use if the bar and relax.

We went through to the movie & were personally shown our sears. We had opted for the double sofas which had no arm rest in-between. They are large leather sofas with a moving tray by the side. The are electric so the head rest moves and the foot stool moves. There is a button which you use to get the attention of the waiting staff. We asked for some blankets also which we're a nice touch! Whatever seats u get though u can't go wrong it's just if you like to snuggle up to someone or whether you want your own separate seat with 2 arm rests.

We ordered another couple of drinks and some humous and bread. Later we ordered the hot dogs which came with chips. I then later on ordered an Oreo milkshake. Everything was lovely and made the overall cinema experience so comfortable!

Now the bill came to approximate £74.
We ordered 2 beers. 1 watermelon martini. 1 red wine. 1 humous. 2 hotdogs. 1 milkshake.
This on top of the tickets - it was about £120 in total. So this is why I say for a special occasion! They add service charge also which bumps it up.

I would 100% go again! Really enjoyable fun experience. Plus beach blanket babylon is around the corner so we popped there afterwards! A great date day/night!!

Go it's a great experience!!! Plus a lot more comfortable!!!

Ps the menu doesn't say popcorn on it - but people were ordering it so it is available!!!

For my son's birthday we usually arrange a family outing and thought as a treat to try out Whitley's - The Lounge. The whole ambiance was welcoming and had that little bit extra luxury but obviously at a cost.

We chose a settee and then 3 single seats - all of which have a recliner and plenty of space between rows (unlike the standard cinemas).

You could eat in the foyer section before the film or order food before or during the film (by pressing a button located on the arm of the seat similar to when your on a flight) and the service was very discrete. The food; drinks and service were excellent. The cost though was a little expensive (especially the drinks) but as a treat was happy to pay.

I would definitely recommend it to others to try out..if you are on a budget, check out the menu and drinks beforehand so you are aware of the costs involved.

Would definitely go again.

"The Lounge" at Whiteleys shopping centre in London is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening, especially if you like to watch movies and eat/drink. This is an Odeon cinema for "over 18's", and it is well worth a visit.

I believe there are three screening rooms that are showing current films, and each room holds approximately 35-40 people. Before your movie starts, you are welcomed into a huge lounge area where you can order snacks and beverages to enjoy while your screening room is being prepared. The wait staff will escort you to your seats and ensure you are comfortable.

The seats are giant recliners that are very comfortable with push-button controls. You can even get a blanket if you feel you might be chilly in during the movie. You can also order food or drink at any time during the film with the push of a button in your armrest. There are push-away tray tables at each seat, and you can ask for food/drinks to be delivered at a specific time (ie middle of the movie).

The food is very, very good, and is served piping hot. There are only snacks, finger food and fork/spoon food on offer, so you would be served anything that needed to be cut, and the lighting in the cinema is subdued - not off completely, so you can always see what's on your plate. I had the venison chili and rice, and it was delicious.

You are slightly aware of other people getting served their food, but I didn't find that distracting. About 15 minutes before the end of the film, they will present your bill and will come swipe your card. This is the only thing I found a bit distracting, but they did advise us at the start that this would happen, so we were ready with payment. I suppose you could ask to settle up after the movie finishes, but we did not think of that.

This is not a cheap 'movie and dinner out' type activity. The movie tickets are about double what you'd pay for the normal seats, and you pay for food and drink on top of that, but I thought it was priced right for being central London.

It was a completely enjoyable evening, and I can't wait to do it again.
