Owner description: The UK's largest and most popular casino. No membership, walk in freely, open 24/7, 6 bars, Pokerstars cash poker deck, award-winning Heliot Steak House, cabaret theatre, 2 smoking terraces & 3 floors of gambling. Great fun for gamblers and people just out for a good time. Shows all the best American sports, including all NFL games. International Vegas style regulations. The Hippodrome is one of the most widely recognised entertainment landmarks in the capital. Originally a variety theatre and home to the world-renowned Talk Of The Town, it is now the most famous casino and entertainment venue in the country and recently won Best Casino Operator in Europe 2015. A £50m renovation reinstated many of the theatre's original Edwardian architectural features, creating a unique venue that combines four floors of world class casino gaming with live theatre, an award winning steak house, six bars and a two tier smoking terrace. Since its opening in July 2012 the Hippodrome has attracted 5 million visitors, a combination of dedicated and casual gamers, theatregoers, business and tourist audiences and those keen to view one of the most spectacular venues in London. It is testament to the success of the Hippodrome that it was the venue pop superstar Prince chose to play his final UK gig in his 2014 tour.

Craps is the daddy of all casino games, but is slowly disappearing over here in the UK. Thankfully the Hippodrome are switched on enough to be bucking this trend and are creating a niche market for this product by recently adding a second table.

Both tables are located downstairs in the excellent Lola's, along with roulette, blackjack, and three card poker. Finished off with a bar, podium dancers and much welcome seating area, you do not have to be playing at the tables to have a great night in this section of the casino.

As far as dice players are concerned, this is almost the only game in town.

Dear Stuthemac. We love Craps at the Hippodrome! You are correct that it was slowly disappearing in the UK. Reason bluntly is it is an expensive game to run at a Casino and hard work, and others don't want to put the necessary effort in. We have a team who love dealing it and committed to it early on and it has gone from strength to strength. We now have the only 2 table craps pit in the country, indeed there is only 1 other table in London but 2 tables back to back creates that amazing buzz you only otherwise get in Las Vegas. And having them in Lola's Underground Casino at the Hippodrome is perfect, they were made for it, or it was made for them! Thank you for the fabulous review

so far I have only had positive experience of the venue. I have been to many poker rooms with a hostile aura where I have either been psychically intimidated or witnessed someone else been. Fortunately it appears so far that the staff good control and this is not a problem here.

I will say though there is one table which has seats right next to a balcony and I can rock or lean back in my chair sometimes so would never be comfortable there due to fears of going over the edge.

Dear David. I would prefer it if you had just said all was good, rather than saying all was good, but other places are less good as i have no control over other places. What I can do is ensure the Hippodrome is good at everything and excel wherever possible, like at poker where we have the best team in the capital. All the seats are safe and I am not sure which one you are concerned about on the balcony. The wall is higher than the chairs! Do please let me know on info@hippodromecasino.com

Thank god we left and went to the grovesnor it was like a cattle market never played a roulette table before and been pushed about like a farmyard animal lots of people rowing and the croupiers did not look old enough to control what was going on lots of mistakes going on I saw at least 3 chip switches on numbers by abusive patrons never would happen in Vegas the venue it self is very nice for London but I'm afraid the clientele which frequent the place makes you want to spend money elsewhere when I approached a doormen to ask if this the norm on a Sunday night and he barked "every night" shame as looks decent place but love gambling with my wife And wouldn't want her to be surrounded by that atmosphere with no form of security to keep you feeling comfortable

Dear Theoxkent. Bizarre review. Have you got the right place, are you a competitor or did something upset you? Our Sunday nights are calm. Even our busy weekend nights are well controlled as we close the doors if busy and control numbers to ensure everyone has a great time. To say no security also makes me think you have the wrong place as we have security in every bar and gaming area. And our customers are super. There is no rowing or issues. Please do let me have more information on info@hippodromecasino.com so I can try to work out your issues. Thank you

We hired the Piano Bar for a 50th Birthday Celebration last Saturday, its a fabulous venue and the Piano Bar is a comfortable lounge perfect for up to 70 guests (we had 50 in our party) the staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us, our guests ranged from 22 to 75 and everyone was happy, I highly recommend!
