“Perfect base to explore London”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

My brother and I stayed in the Upper Apartment in July '13 for 7 nights and thought that Griffin House was a great find. It was my first time in London and no where else in the city would we have been able to have our own (large!) rooms and kitchen at the rate we payed, which given this was in the later stages of our month long trip was a complete blessing! As our stay was in the middle of what was considered a heat wave by English standards the rooms were supplied with pedestal fans, which combined with the large windows made for a lovely, breezy stay.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. There is about a 10 minute walk to the tube, but nothing taxing or difficult, and the proximity to several high streets means that there are lots of amenities close by for buying food to make use of the kitchen. The little organic bakery down the street was also fantastic.

The owners were so lovely and accommodating, the great stay we had here is truly a credit to Ben and Nic. It's worth noting for those with animal allergies that a cat and large (but so friendly) dog live in the house.

Next time I have the opportunity to travel to London Griffin House will be at the top of my list.

We stayed for a weekend theatre break as a family of four (Son & daughter in law, husband and self) in the top floor flat and we found it perfect for our requirements. The apartment was fully equipped, very warm and comfortable and our host Ben most welcoming and helpful. With just a ten minute walk from the underground, we could get around the sights very easily and would be happy to stay there again... thanks Ben and Nic!

I recently stayed in the Garden Apartment at Griffin House with my sister and we had a wonderful time! The Garden Apartment has a private entrance as well as direct access to the most amazing garden where we enjoyed taking our morning coffee (and a glass or two of wine in the evening!). The apartment is spacious and tastefully furnished. Although I visit London regularly, I have never stayed in this area before and found it to have excellent transport links to the main tourist areas - there are 2 tube lines as well as a very good bus service. There is an abundance of good value restaurants in Clapham High Street, which is only about a 10 minute walk away. We ate in a brilliant Greek meze restaurant. We would also recommend a wonderful organic bakery approximately 4 minutes from the apartment, which sell the best croissants I have ever tasted. As other people have said previously, the hosts, Ben and Nic, are great -they both make you feel really welcome and give you lots of advice about the area. I would strongly recommend staying at Griffin House!

We spent 4 days in the Garden Flat, and there's nothing else we could've asked in there. Everything was as they announced, and even better. The house was perfectly clean, lovely decoration and beds were so comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet, and there's a seven-eleven store just in front of the house, where you can buy pretty much anything while not spending too much money. The location is very good as well, less than 10 minutes walk to the underground station which is another 10 minutes away from the town center. There are some bars and restaurants around there, and although we didn't go to any of them, they looked pretty nice and not very expensive.

Ben was the perfect host, easy-going and very helpful. We were late for hours and not only did he not complain, but rather he received us with a big smile and a perfect answer for any questions we had.

I strongly recommend it to those who want to stay in London for a very good price in a nice borough. When I come back I'm sure I'll stay there again.

Thanks for having us there, farewell!

We stayed at the Griffin House Holiday Apartments from late December 2013 for 11 days. There were 5 of us in the garden apartment. I am so thankful for the lovely hosts that provide these accommodations, for without them there is no way known we could have afforded to stay for 11 days in London.
The cat and dog were greatly appreciated as was the lovely back yard available to us.
If we are ever lucky enough to travel from Australia to London again we would have no hesitation in staying here again. Thank you for having us.

The occasion of my Brother's 50th birthday celebrations lent itself perfectly to extending our stay in London to spend Christmas together, with family flying in from Spain, Northern Ireland and ourselves from Germany. We rented the top apartment in a Griffin House for 10 days. Because of the proximity to my brother's house, it was just perfect for us. The apartment itself is very clean and comfortable. Ben and Nic (and of course not forgetting Barney the Dog) are lovely hosts. They provided us with the basics (coffee, tea, milk etc) upon our arrival., which was very much appreciated. The towels were changed and the appartment was also cleaned during our stay. The location of the apartment anyway is great - just 10 minutes walk from Clapham North tube station. The local amenities are great - just across the road is a small supermarket, which sells everything you could possibly need. Lunch at the local pub "The Landor" was excellent! Would definitely book this appartment again .... also for a girls weekend in London!!! Mmmhhh ... Now there's an idea!! Ben and Nic - thank you!! Barney - Woof!! To sum up ... EVM (Excellent Value for Money).

We spent 6 days in The Garden Flat. Reason for being in London was to spend Christmas with our daughter's family. We were many family members coming from Finland and needed extra space. 22 Stockwell Green was very conveniently located for us. Nice and quiet neighborhood. The flat is clean and has all the gear needed. Landlords were really friendly and helpful. We will come back again.
