“GREAT!!”
Reviewed 14 February 2011

This hotel is great. The only thing I can find fault with is that not all staff are equally friendly, but that didn't really bother me.

I would definitely go back!

My partner and I stayed here for Valentines weekend. We had the valentines package which included a spa treatment, dinner, chocolates, a rose and breakfast. The staff here are fantastic and very helpful and friendly. The room was very nice, clean and the bathroom was stocked with the lovely motlon brown treats! Downside was there was no iron, and we couldn't find the key to open our bedroom window, we could have asked reception but didn't bother. Dinner was nice but not brilliant, again service was excellent at dinner but the food let things down a bit. The chocolate fondent was not a fondent, (over cooked) so was a sponge... also the potatoes tasted like the ones from school!! Also the breakfast service was a bit crazy! There was a function on the night before so the breakfast room was packed, we had toque for about 10-15 minutes just to get a table, and wait for more food and glasses to be added. I asked three times for toast and coffee.... the staff were apologetic and polite so you couldn't really get annoyed. Overall i would recommend this hotel, thelocation is great, close to to tube and shops. The customer service is brilliant and I would love to stay here again, although I might have dinner somewhere else!

Was let down by another central London hotel and was able to get a room here last minute on a Friday afternoon.

Not disappointed. Staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and spacious and everything was just perfect. Would most definitely recommend.

Only negative is mobile phone reception is pretty much non-existent throughout the hotel.

We stayed here for one night on a Friday. We were warmly greeted, check in was quick and easy. The atrium was beautiful, the glass structure felt so modern and airy. Our room was lovely, the bathroom was quite basic and didn't feel particularly luxurious, but apart from that it was faultless. The pressure in the shower wasn't good - my partner likened it to someone pouring a watering can over your head! We drank at both bars, the service here was good. The next day we had afternoon tea which took about 40 minutes to arrive the portions are massive and we found one afternoon tea was more than enough for two adults. Come check-out the following morning, it took the lift five minutes to stop at our floor, which was a little annoying, I suggest perhaps checking out an hour early to avoid the mad rush, Apart from this our stay was fantastic - we will definitely be returning.

Grange Hotel at St. Paul's is sold off as a five star hotel and surely is if you look at the services and amenities that goes with it, but to me it only adds up to 4 stars. It is a huge glitzy new-built structure with a big glassy hall inside. Quite impressive. On the positive side is fast check-out and a good breakfast. On the negative side: a long wait for the concierge service when I wanted it and my room being in a building separate from the main building. This is off course minor things, but with this price tag, I think there should be no negatives. Secondly, the hotel does not give you that personal kind of service, that is so difficult to define. Here you are just another guest, that needs to be serviced.
