We just came back from a 4 days holiday in London and we spent our nights at the Court Hotel. First of all, I wrote them an email ahead of time in order to ask for a higher room, email to which they answered positively right away. Then, when we arrived, we were warmly welcome in a cosy and authentic atmosphere. Then the room: indeed it is a bit small but it was perfect for two and the bed was really comfortable! We could sleep very well because we weren't at any time disturbed by the noice (quiet neighbourhood). The location is very practical: only a few meters away from the station Paddington and then a 5 minutes ride to Oxford Circus. Finally, the breakfast was good and totally satisfying! Overall, we just would like to thank the Tudor Court Hotel crew for their warm welcoming and we will come back to this hotel next time we come!

I stayed in basement room 131, and due to noise from the underground and the breakfast room, there was hardly any chance of sleep. Dirty room, with a bathroom so small that you could brush your teeth while sitting on the toilet. No joke! I asked for a different room but none were available. Maybe this room should be changed into a true single with a single bed and a renovated bathroom.

At breakfast I found hair in the milk. Clearly overrated Place if you ask me. The girl at reception did her best but the only positive I could find was location.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review although I am naturally disappointed that you rated our hotel so poorly and I would like to apologise that your stay was not as enjoyable as you – or I - would have liked it to have been. Unfortunately we were fully booked and that room was absolutely the last available.

As to cleanliness, we take great care in keeping all our rooms spotless and if there was a hair in the milk at breakfast then I do apologise – that is of course very much not the normal as we are scrupulously clean over our breakfast offering to guests.

Do please come back to stay with us again – I am sure that your next visit will prove to be a much better experience, as we like to make it for all our guests.

Kind Regards,

We wanted a hotel that was reasonable, centrally located near the Paddington line. This one proved to be ideal, very reasonable, very old building, looked after very well. The staff couldn't have been any better and of all nationalities. The breakfast was well cooked and presented.
Fast efficient service. The rooms whilst small were adequate and the ensuite was tiny but serviceable. Bedding and linen were changed daily. All in all for the price I would give 5 stars.

Room Tip: be wary of the stairs, need young legs, although we are 70 yr olds and managed well.

Good value for the money but best was the friendly and helpful staff! Good location near Paddington station. Breakfast OK, standard english, not plenty of food but still OK, but be in time since the dinning room is very small.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel was great, only a few mins walk to the bus stations, and subway. The only down side was the sleep quality, because we there is no air condition, we had to leave the ceiling fan on and the motor of that fan was loud, which was unfortunate, because after many hours of walking, the last thing you want is a buzzing sound to stop you from a good night rest.

Room Tip: There is no elevator in the hotel, so it's best to ask for a second level room so you won't...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review.

I am delighted that you liked our hotel. I do take your point about air conditioning although the recent weeks have seen some very unseasonally high temperatures in London (which is not normally a problem!).

The location of this hotel is a really big bonus, so accessible to everywhere from here whether it's walking, the underground or buses.
The rooms were efficient and comfortable.
Staff were also nice and helpful too.

Unlike some others we had no problems with the staff or the morning breakfast. The standard English breakfast was very good, although baked beans was strange to us. We stayed for a couple of days in August and ate breakfast three times. The staff was friendly, and we spoke to many of them on numerous occasions, we even spoke to the owner one evening, he was very nice. The room was clean and nice although small, the free wireless worked well. The only real complaint was the shower. It was a corner of the bathroom, with a semicircular curtain. It overflowed every time we took a shower and left the bathroom floor wet. We informed room service, and they worked on it, it got better, but still not great. This is an outstanding location near Paddington Station.

Dear Robert,

I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and to read that you have discovered the great British baked bean! I hope you enjoyed them.

Your kind remarks about our staff (and Mr Gupta senior) are much appreciated.

We have sorted out that issue with the shower. Thank you for drawing it to our attention.

Kind Regards,

Connan Gupta
