“a lovely B&B with a great location and wonderful service”

After reading lots of reviews on tripadvisor, Tudour Court had the best reviews within the budget we were looking in and we were not disappointed. We stayed in Tudor Court for 3 nights and it suited us perfectly. We arrived and were greeted with a very warm welcome from Conan. He and he parents Mr & Mrs Gupta were very helpful and informative during our stay. The rooms are not huge (which is expected), however, there is enough room to open your suitcase on the floor and move about. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was great and very quick to be served. We had free wifi in our room which was very useful. The location is excellent - it's very close to paddington station so catching the tube anywhere was simple. I would definitely stay here again especially for the price - its great value with great service!

My sisters and I stayed in room #7 (an en suite triple) on the second floor for four nights. Overall it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at in Europe. We couldn’t wait to leave the room every morning and dreaded coming back at night.

The Good: 1) Conveniently close to Paddington Station. 2) Includes a full English breakfast (eggs, sausage, ham, beans) if that’s the type of breakfast food you like. 3) Looks neat and clean at first glance: walls look freshly painted, pretty “coverlet” and pillows on the beds. 4) Beds were fairly comfortable.

The Bad: 1) Three twin beds wedged into a very small room. We have stayed in many hotel rooms in Europe and realize that overall they are generally much smaller than the ones in the U.S., but this room was ridiculously small. We had to pack/unpack our bags one at a time. At one point I had to pack my suitcase in the hall because there just wasn’t enough space inside the room. 2) Extremely small, cramped bathroom. You could sit on the toilet, wash your hands in the sink and stretch your legs into the shower all at the same time—no exaggeration! The shower was basically an upright casket. You could stand in it, but you could barely turn around. Also, you had to be partially outside the shower in order to reach down to shave your legs or pick up the sliver of soap. My sisters and I are petite (5’2” and under) and the bathroom was a tight fit for us. Anyone who is overweight or tall would find it difficult, if not impossible, to use this bathroom. 3) Each person was allotted one sliver of soap, one small packet of shampoo and only one bath towel to be used for all drying needs. There was no extra hand towel provided. We had to leave notes every night to make sure we received a new clean towel the next day. 4) Very little storage space for a room for three people. There are some cubbyhole shelves, but no closet or dresser. What little walking space we had was used for storing luggage. 5) Very poor lighting (one light fixture in the ceiling and a lamp on the nightstand) made the room dreary and depressing. A hairdryer was provided in the corner of the room between the door and cubbyholes, but there wasn’t any task lighting there, so we had to dry our hair in the dark. 6) No alarm clock, no facial tissue. 7) The plumbing in our room and the room next door gurgled all night.

The Disgusting: Very Poor Housekeeping! 1) The drain stopper in the shower was clogged with hair before we even used it! Clearly, this establishment does not take the time to clean the rooms between guests. 2) By the time we all took showers, our room was very hot, but we couldn’t use the ceiling fan because it was coated with a thick layer of dust.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was great for the location and price. The single room with attached bath was small but ok for 1 small person (I'm 5'3" and 120 lb) with 1 standard size luggage. Breakfast was good and served quickly. The staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions for sightseeing. I was able to video skype since internet was good- my room was directly below the reception area.

Two drawbacks to this hotel are that they don't serve fresh fruit, and you can only watch 5-6 public channels on the beautiful TV. Pay per view were only for adult movies.

Since I went to London firstly, the winter 1995 , I have been supposed to stay this hotel.

This hotel is really well-located, 10 minutes from citycentre, many restaurant and we can access some tubes like District, Circle, Hammersmith&City and Bakerloo lines.

Mr & Mrs Gupta, the master and mistress of this hotel, are really nice people. They are really kind for us, and give us comfortable stay for a long time.

I think the room and facility doesn't deserve the fare, but fascinate accessibility doesn't hold me away for over 15 years.

There are many B&B in Paddington, so you would not decide which one is best. Then come here and open the door. Here is your home.

This is my first visit to London. This hotel is very close to Paddington railway station and Paddington tube station. You can use Heathrow Connect or Heathrow Express direct from Heathrow Airport with only 30 minutes and only 100 meters from the railway station to the hotel. The family owned is very accomodative and a nice hospitable ambience. I would like to mention about "Mr.Connan" who voluntarily helps visitors, he is a very helpful man. I spent more than a month in this hotel. It is a typical London hotel "Small" like Japan, but it impressed me a lot. It can be easily diffrentiated from the other hotels next door. Thanks to the pleasant ambience, hospitable team and the hotel is well maintained although being a budget hotel. The building is 160 years old, but you never get that feeling, thanks to the maintenance efforts.
Connan and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guptha ensured that my stay was very pleasant.Although the room was small, it was well maintained daily. A comfortable bed, with TV, phone, coffee & tea facilities, small & clean bathroom. I enjoyed it very much. I would definitely recommend anyone to this hotel.

A family owned and run small hotel in a wonderful location. The Square is blocked at one end so there is no through traffic and the garden in the centre is lovely. As other reviews mention it has been recently refurbished, the breakfast available adequate and speedily served. The owners are very friendly and their son Connan particularly helpful with tourist information for first time visitors to London. The adjoining street has a number of restaurants and I would especially mention Mimo's as offering great value.

We booked with a specific request for adjacent rooms and when we finally had no reply to our specific booking condition we cancelled. The hotel charged us a cancellation fee for both rooms. Then by phone and email said they could rebook us on another floor with adjacent rooms at a now higher price. They assured us the booking was safe and that they would re-charge our card. On follow-up prior to departure the hotel denied they ever had a booking despite copies of our emails, said that we should have checked our statement and noticed the charge had not been made (as if this would make it ok) and then the manager hung up on us without any offer of assistance or apology. We were extremely clear in our communication both by phone and email. I would go so far as to say that the hotel did pretty well out of failing to provide a confirmed service?! This is the first bad review I have ever written.
