The description of this hotel is misleading and inaccurate. Our booking confirmation promises a spacious room (there was barely room to move between the beds and wall), free toiletries (?), all that was supplied was one towel each, no hand towel or facecloth and a liquid soap dispenser. The phone was only able to make local calls.Reception (the guy there was not overly helpful or welcoming). We were not able to make or get them to make for us, an international call and they said they could not order a taxi, the advice was just to wait outside for one. It was not mentioned that there was a climb of approximately 40 narrow steps to our room, (no lift) difficult for two older people with suitcases, left one downstairs, no room to store in bedroom. Breakfast basic, didn't see any sign of the "freshly cooked Danish pastries"". In its favour, it was clean and had a good shower, obviously had a makeover since the very bad earlier reviews.

Room Tip: I presume all rooms are pokey.

Lovely room and facilities only downside was having to go across a small corridor for our own bathroom toilet facilities not good if caught short in the middle of the night or for showering and preparing to go out.

Booked this hotel in January 2013 to stay May 23rd to 27th as we were going to the Chelsea flower show..The hotel looked nice from the outside but was so different inside. We booked a superior double room and I can tell you it was not superior. Two single bed bases pushed together with a double matteress on top.We did not have a bathroom in our room but had to go out of our room to use the bathroom,ok it was only for our use but very inconvienient. The lamp shade was broken and there was a wooden unit of sorts that you could hang clothes but if you were short you had trouble reaching the thing. Looking out the window was the back of other buildings which were very scruffy and the yard was full of old matteresses.
The breakfast and breakfast room were poor. A toaster that took forever to toast,3 large containers for fruit juices that were empty or nearly empty. The coffee jugs could have been topped up more often and the plate of cheeses curled up at the ends.As for the decor well the wall paper was coming off the wall. There were internetional visitors sat around us and as UK
people it made me think that the hotel did not give Britain a good image.
I do have to say that the staff were not too friendly either and quite off'ish.
I would suggest people look at other hotels before this one.

Room Tip: For a good room book another hotel

The location, near Victoria Station, is very good. The beds are in good conditions and the family slept very well. The breakfast was a little poor, no bacon and no eggs. Comparing to the price, I will not complain.
Thank you

The staff was polite but consistently unhelpful, grossly incompetent and disorganized. The room is so small, it would give an agoraphobic claustrophobia. There were hairs all over the bed that were not mine. They only give you one pillow. The rooms are drafty and the walls are paper thin. The wireless is spotty and the hotel actually stores their vacuum cleaner in the stairwell. Though it's five minutes from Victoria coach Station, it's actually about ten to fifteen minutes from Victoria Station (the tube stop).
