“THE LARDER RESTAURANT”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

We had a meal deal so we only ate at the restaurant, didn't stay at the hotel. The food was good and service was fine but our experience was coloured by them charging us £25 for 2 Irish coffees, which I thought was a complete rip off. guess we should have checked the price first!

Room Tip: we didn't stay in the hotel, we had a meal deal for the restaurant only.

Loved! That's exactly how we felt about this spectacular Hilton property.

It really is unfortunate that reviewers have taken to Tripadvisor to comment on this hotel based on the experience at one of it's restaurants rather than on the hotel itself. To be clear, we did not try the sushi restaurant in the lobby. It is small and to me, looked like a concession rather than a full restaurant.

That being said there are so many great attributes to this Hilton that I felt that I just had to set the record straight.

To begin with the location was perfect. With a view of Tower Bridge, the Shard, the Tower of London all just steps out of the front door, and the London Bridge tube stop only a few blocks away, we felt that we were perfectly situated to see London.

Check in was friendly and a breeze. Our room on the 12th floor was ready when we checked in early around 10:00am. The room was nice. Not the best we have ever stayed in but well above average with modern finishings, a great bathroom, nice storage space and a comfortable mattress. Bath sheets were a nice bonus rather than small bath towels and the shower gel smelled wonderful.

The Executive Lounge was nothing short of perfection after a long day of sightseeing. Whether starting our day with a great breakfast, including; bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, fresh bread, smoked fish, cheeses, yogurt, cereals, fruits and sweets or wrapping up a long day with a cocktail from 7-9pm this lounge was awesome. The staff catered to our every request with a smile. always had fresh cookies and treats during tea time 2:30-5:00 and was eager to help out at every turn.

House keeping was efficient and kept the room ship shape.

The concierge was able to secure a reservation to a tough to get into Nopi restaurant. Definitely also recommend Nopi.

We did have free Lounge access as Honors Gold members and free internet. Otherwise 15 pounds per day internet access is ridiculous especially since it is not super fast or super reliable.

A few tips for tourists: Get a sim card at the kiosk just past the London Bridge Tube for unlocked phones. Pick up an Oyster card for the tube there as well. Check out Borough Market, just past London Bridge!!! Walk out the back exit of the hotel and walk down to the water for the best view of Tower Bridge at night.

If we return to London the Hilton Tower Bridge will definitely be our first choice for a travel hub.

Room Tip: We were in room 1213. It was great but didn't have the best view.

This a very good business hotel. The service is without fault, the rooms have a high standard and the breakfast is above average for a hotel in this category. The price charged for a stay is in the upper level, and it is really a shame that they charge extra for wireless internett at this price level. This is actually provoking. Location at the south bank is terrific.

from check in to check out the hotel & it's staff were helpful & professional. The reception team made every effort to check us in even though we were early to check in. The location of the hotel is good - few mins away from the underground. Had an enyoyable stay there.

We have stayed here several times now. The rooms have always been clean, comfortable combined with excellent service. I have never paid the extra £40.00 to check in early or check out late as concierge has a room to look after luggage until you are ready. Close to the Thames, Borough Market and London Bridge Station, all of London is on the door step to explore! Will definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Executive rooms are 9th floor and above. Having stayed on the lower floors, the added premium isnt w...

I spend a lot of time in Hiltons in London and it never happened that I stayed in the Hilton London Tower Bridge before. As this time I was there for a weekend break, I felt a change would be nice. I was not disappointed. This is a great hotel, well-kept, clean, nicely furnished, where staff are helpful, smiling, and attentionate. The rooms are well-sized and the colors are calming and gentle. The lobby is huge and offers possibilities to have a nice drink with friends, eat snacks or simply sit and read a newspaper without feeling like you're in a restaurant or an airport lobby. I visited the Executive Lounge for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with the lovely terrace it has: London at your feet. Amazing. All in all, as hilton honors Diamond, I rank this hotel in one of the best Hiltons I visited. Simply and truly good.

This hotel is in an excellent location for a sightseeing visit to London.
Just 5 minutes walk from the tube station, right by The Tower of London and with fantastic views of The Shard from the Executive lounge and terrace.
Lots of lovely restaurants with a 10 minute walk and you can catch the Clipper river boats just along the river for great views along the Thames.
The hotel itself was very clean, had very friendly discreet staff and the rooms were very well appointed and had a lovely comfortable bed. Couldn't have asked for better!
