We dropped in for a drink on a Saturday lunchtime before going on to lunch and the theatre. It's easy to find just off High Holborn. The bar itself is wonderful with a "library" feel and intricate Gerald Scarfe panels on the wall. It is comfortable, elegant and actually quite light as there are large windows. The staff are cheerful, friendly and do not rush you. The "Compendium of Libations" revealed some fabulous cocktails as well as a massive "distillery" section of rums, whiskies, tequilas, etc. With names like "Diplomatic Immunity" and "Thyme Out" these are imaginative and although fairly pricey, they are good value . One friend immediately decided this was her favourite bar, so it may become a regular spot when in town. And the food menu looked very interesting, so maybe next time I can review the food.
