We dropped in for a drink on a Saturday lunchtime before going on to lunch and the theatre. It's easy to find just off High Holborn. The bar itself is wonderful with a "library" feel and intricate Gerald Scarfe panels on the wall. It is comfortable, elegant and actually quite light as there are large windows. The staff are cheerful, friendly and do not rush you. The "Compendium of Libations" revealed some fabulous cocktails as well as a massive "distillery" section of rums, whiskies, tequilas, etc. With names like "Diplomatic Immunity" and "Thyme Out" these are imaginative and although fairly pricey, they are good value . One friend immediately decided this was her favourite bar, so it may become a regular spot when in town. And the food menu looked very interesting, so maybe next time I can review the food.

This is a gorgeous room, well-appointed, with comfortable seating and all kinds of drinks. It makes a wonderful business venue or romantic venue, whichever you prefer. The environment is very warm and welcoming. You can't go wrong!

We had a couple of late night drinks here post-Theatre. The bar is very stylish, although do call ahead for seating as it can get very busy. Giovanni who heads the service is great, and cheeky with it, but I'm not sure the rest of the staff were quite to his standards. Either way, it's quite expensive, but you know it's worth it!

Stylish bar decorated in old library style, with a cosy fireplace. The drinks offering is extensive. Try their cocktails, delicious. It's busy most nights, book a table if you want to be seated. Not the cheapest in London obviously, but considering the fancy decor, comfortable setting and yummy drinks, it is quite fine.

Scarfes, at the Rosewood hotel in Holborn, has a fine wine list & whiskey selection.
Ideal for some interesting late night cocktails.
Well worth a visit if you are in Holborn area.
