“Not cheap, but good film selection and comfortable seating”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

We were in Screen 2 to see Wadjda (highly recommended). The cinema has a good selection of foreign/arthouse films. I think some are also available on demand, but I haven't looked into that yet. As the previous reviewer has said, it is a little cold, but it's not too bad; certainly, my local cinema is much colder. The seats are incredibly comfortable and the bar area is great. At £8 for before 5pm on a weekday, it's not cheap (I think it might be £13.50 in the evening) but, the Prince Charles Cinema, which I went to last week, is the same price and it holds itself up as some kind of bargain and has terrible seating in comparison. I'll definitely be returning for films I can't find more cheaply elsewhere.

“The Iceman”
Reviewed 17 June 2013

good film, but regardless the Soho Curzon is a gem of a find. It is a little more chilled than the cinemas of nearby Leicester Square and has a slightly quirky edge. Plus the seats are so comfortable, they are not like cinema seats at all.

“Relaxed”
Reviewed 15 April 2013

A great cinema for grown ups! There is a cafe on the ground floor serving lovely cakes and light lunches with drinks, and 2 further bars for relaxing before or after the film.

“Serious cinema....”
Reviewed 19 March 2013

All the Curzon chain of cinemas are excellent, but this and Mayfair (Curzon Street) are to my mind the best. The Soho cinema is well-appointed with one large and one small bar; a coffee shop at street level and really comfortable screens showing great films. Don't miss the 'Q & A' sessions that follow some films - they are always stimulating and informative. Joining the Curzon is a really good deal.
