The Sumner is a luxury boutique Hotel close to Marble Arch and Edgware Road. The rooms are bright and spacious. Staff is very friendly and making you feel comfortable and special. The food is delicious and the Breakfast Buffet has lots of choices so there is something for everyone! The Hotel is clean and tidy and very classy decorated. Its a pitty I could not stay longer but at my next trip to london i will defenetly check in again - at The Sumner of course!

I had the pleasure of returning for my 3rd and 4th visit to the Sumner in late April and early May. The hotel is still my preferred choice for any visit to London. To us it like coming home and the location is fantastic.

Staff is always great and the hotel is always clean. I believe the Sumner offers some of the best value in London

The Sumner Hotel was our first stop in London. We were there for a week and were delighted with the spacious room, the decor, the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff. The breakfast room is bright yet cozy with amazing food every morning. We got into the habit of ordering a pot of tea and "digestives" (biscuits) in the evening which was always presented elegantly. A week after leaving London and traveling around, a change of plans brought us back to London for 5 days and the Sumner was where we happily returned to. It had become a home away from home.

Booked this hotel after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and am very glad I did, it is a lovely hotel, very quiet and in an excellent position. soundproofing is a slight problem, we could hear the toilet flush in the room above us - but it is an old building. My only complaint is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I would certainly stay here again.

The Sumner is a nice little boutique hotel, conveniently located just around the corner from Marble Arch. We had a King Twin Room which was rather spacious for London standards. The room was very clean and well kept. We were at the front so there was some traffic noise despite of the secondary glazing, but nothing too disturbing.
The hot and cold buffet Breakfast should meet almost everyone's needs.

A year ago I made my first trip to London for a business event. I had no idea where to stay however my daughter had been in London several months earlier. She said the Sumner was a great find in an ideal location, etc. I took her advice and was extremely pleased. So pleased in fact that I returned this year to the Sumner for another 8 day stay.

There are a lot of "OK" hotels wherever one travels however in my opinion what really makes a visit enjoyable above and beyond the basics is the hotel staff. The folks at the Sumner are universally wonderful and helpul. If you happen to stumble down to the breakfast room 10 minutes early, or 10 minutes late, you are always welcomed and served. The front desk staff is helpful whatever time of day or night.

I may have to return to London in early June and if so you can be sure to find me at the Sumner.

Room Tip: We stayed on the top floor this time. Great space.

The staff made the stay at this small hotel a special pleasure. Lucas at the front desk and Agnes in the breakfast room were the standouts, but all the staff did a great job.

I like to experience new hotels, but the people working at The Sumner were much of the reason that we returned here again when my partner had business in London.

Agnes kept the buffet breakfast buffet well stocked, coffee fresh, etc. She greeted all with the perfect demeanor. We were very happy to see her again.

Lucas was most helpful with advice, needs, logistics. We never felt like we were imposing on him. His suggestions were very good, he knows London. Ditto that we saw Lucas again this year.
