The first hotel I've been to that seems to touch all bases effortlessly and for a decent price. So let's start with value. It's nice to feel you're getting something more for your 100 quid than a clean room and a bed with a few teabags and a kettle. The rooms are slightly on the small side but well furnished and with a certain individuality to the decor that gives an indication of the thought and innovative touches that permeate throughout this inner-city haven. Room service - check. Pick-me-up breakfast on the door handle after-the-night-before - check. Free wifi in-room (with no annoying form-filling) - check. Fun little pocket local map - check. Free daily newspaper - check. Apple workstations - of course. Table tennis tables (complete with 'table art') - check. Cocktail bar? Yep. A clever foyer and ground floor layout separates the check-inns, from the impromptu business meet-ins, from the relaxing guests, the drinkers, the smokers and the diners. Once your starter breakfast has given you the energy to make it downstairs you could do worse than to wolf down the full-english and a really decent cup of coffee - no fluke as this was my second visit and it was still pretty good. Gripe? Just a comment really, the warm almost over-friendliness of the desk staff was slightly at odds with the (albeit well dressed and drilled) cool efficiency of the restaurant staff.

We celebrated my son's 21st birthday on Friday 7th September and stayed in two rooms at the Hoxton hotel.
Had a lovely time, rooms are always clean (we've been before).
On a negative note, we did seem to wait for a long time to be served drinks etc.
Breakfast was especially bad....(although the waiter was very friendly).
I had to get up from the table several times to collect or ask again for items, drinks, milk for by then cold tea etc ... not really good enough tbh.
Drinks and breakfasts were not cheap...so a little disappointing
But the overall atmosphere of the Hoxton Bar is really lively, good music too which is great...x

Room Tip: I've stayed a few times and the rooms seem to be all the same

We arrived at the Hoxton at 9AM after an overnight flight and were pleasantly surprised that we were able to check in and go to our room right away even though check in isn't until 2PM. The staff are helpful, the beds are comfortable and the shower wonderful. I had read a review that complained about the TV not facing the bed but all you have to do is turn it towards the bed. The breakfast (banana, yogurt, OJ) is great but can get a bit tedious after a week. The rooms have a fridge and they give you milk and water free everyday. It would be nice if they could throw in an apple or orange every once in a while. They allow you to call to the US for an hour free every day which was nice. There is an underground stop nearby (Old Street) and an overground in the other direction (Shoreditch) which we used every day to see the sights and travel around London. Nearby the hotel are restaurants, clubs and a Tesco Express so anything you need is within walking distance. We only ate at the Hoxon Grill one night but the food was great and afterwards we relaxed with a game of Ping Pong in the room downstairs. The bar is always hopping so I wouldn't bring my kids here if I had any and the area is for more of a younger crowd.

A really good hotel at a great location. Modern and buzzing.
Nice interior, style and friendly staff.
If you like it quiet and still it is not your hotel.
You get a small breakfast for free in a bag at your room, it´s a nice touch.
You can at times miss a really nice breakfast buffet.

My wife and I spent 3 night at Hoxton. And we loved every second of it. The rooms were awesome, nice bathroom. Great value for the money spent! Even though we lived on the second floor, we never noticed the restaurant/bar area even on fridays and saturdays. The staff was always smiling and helpful. Good food in the restaurant as well. We have now made this our hotel of choice in London for the future!

I stayed here with my girlfriend. We had a very nice time. When we return to London, we will certainly get a room at the Hoxton. Nice personnel, great (very clean) rooms with an excellent bath room, very nice hotel bar. Just a great hotel.

We spent 5 nights at the Hoxton, and it was a great experience from booking through our stay. The staff helped arrange it so we could stay in a double room (even though one was not continuously available via the web booking site for our trip). The room was clean and nicely decorated, with a large bathroom. They don't have a lot of extras, but we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our Pret breakfast each morning and tea/coffee in the room. The free hour of international calls daily and wifi were the best ammenities we enjoyed. The staff was attentive and helpful. The neighborhood wasn't first rate, but definitely trendy and up-and-coming. It was very close to the tube and in zone 1, making it a perfect home base for our trip. This is a bit of a party spot on weekends, so expect the bar to be packed Friday and Saturday (with some residual noise, although it didn't bother me terribly). This was a great hotel and the price was right. I would absolutely recommend it others.

Room Tip: Book early to ensure a good rate - 3 months or sooner is best.
