I love staying at the Hoxton, we try to stay every New Years day for a couple of days just to make the new year more fun! The Hoxton is in a great location for getting into central London by bus or tube plus its walking distance to Angel. There is always a lovely atmosphere in the Hoxton reception and bar area, people seem to enjoy just lounging by the huge open fires reading the papers, its a shame there isn't more sofas. There are loads of pubs, bars and restaurants open on New Years day and the subsequent days, so there is lots of fun to be had plus the Hoxton's own bar and restaurant is really good too.

Room Tip: Always ask for a high floor with a view over Willow Street - then you get a great view over the City...

loved the attention to detail in the rooms and the radio on in the background made it feel welcoming. wasn't too sure about how the breakfast bag would work but it was pretty good for if you are in a rush. also had eggs Benedict downstairs in the restaurant and I think it's the best I've ever had! had a T-bone steak in the evening which was fab. restaurant and bar area was very busy even for a Thursday night. would definitely stay here again when in London.

Another great stay in August and again in September. Actually ate in the dining room which was perfect for a full breakfast...dinner was just okay. Service was a bit slow and we were in a rush. I've stayed at a dozen plus hotels and won't ever stay at another spot...oh, we tried the concept room. it was awesome...but you need to be PRETTY close to your roomie since the shower is 100% exposed.

Room Tip: ask for the concept room....although see my comment above.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback. We're very sorry service wasn't up to scratch and we'll be sure to feed that back. We are however very happy that we are your London hotel of choice though and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

It's a couple of years since we last stayed here and it has certainly maintained it's high standards. I can see why it's not for everybody as it has an exteremly lively and vibrant feel about it,with lots of little quirky ideas going on with décor, and sevice etc,but we rate very highly.

I like the attitude of the reception staff who are very helpful - checked me in early and water on hand. I like the cosy seating arrangements and welcoming foyer. The rooms are a reasonable size and the rain shower was lovely. Coffee facilities were also available in the room as was free WiFi. With a free long phone call to the USA, I felt it was reasonable value for the price. I find it very good for East London but a little out of the way for the West End. However the bus route and tube stations are all good. The downside for me is it is so busy and vibrant from early evening until late so not a quiet option for a hotel choice.

Room Tip: Rooms with Twin beds are available but limited.

Thank you for the feedback - it's great that you liked the staff, they are a really friendly bunch! Our lobby does get very busy on an evening but that's because everyone wants a piece of us ;-) Next time check out the cocktails and food and you'll see why they all want in...

Have stayed at The Hoxton on many occasions and as usual the room and service were perfect. We were given extra bottles of free water and allowed to take our glasses of wine from the restaurant to our room. Friendly service and great value for London (you can spend the same amount in many London hotels and get a very tacky room). Always amazes me how the bathrooms look brand new - why cant all hotels be like this??

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view (not facing in to the atrium which can be noisy).

I'd read the reviews and was very excited about a birthday weekend at the Hoxton but the new pod rooms and breakfast in a bag felt cheap and more like student living than the £175 price tag would suggest.
Better for coffee and cocktails in the luxurious lobby than bothering with a very noisy stay.
