“Cool and urban”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014

Hoxton Hotel is a really great hotel designed with cool and urban things. All these small details creates a cozy feeling.

The room itself is quite big and is fitted with a cozy and comfortables chairs, a table for working, a large TV and a great bed too. The bathroom is big and fitted with Bigelow toiletries.

The next morning you will wake up to a simple yet very tasty breakfast including yoghurt, banana, juice etc. All this is included in the room price which is surprisingly low. I mean really, really low - especially compared to London's hotel scene and it's prices.

The Hoxton Hotel is a really recommendable hotel in the hippest (and my favorite) area of London.

Have just spent two nights at the Hoxton and loved every minute of it. It certainly is a chameleon of a hotel - chilled, relaxed and quiet by day and vibrant, busy and bustling by night! All of which suited us perfectly.

As firm fans of New York, we were attracted to this hotel because it appeared to have a similar vibe about it and we weren't wrong. We loved their simple up front attitude explaining their 'no rip off' policy. Free water in the room, free wi- fi throughout and even a free small breakfast, just hang your brown bag out on an evening and next day it's full of healthy breakfast goodies, like orange juice, fruit and granola pots! They even provided proper milk (i.e not UHT cartons) for tea/ coffee in the room and you could buy a selection of Pringles, choc bars etc behind reception for a normal price.

We were lucky enough to stay in one of the concept rooms (at no additional cost), as we mentioned when we booked it was a special occasion, and to be honest we couldn't fault it. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom (rain shower especially) was fab and the TV was huge. Perhaps best of all though it was really quiet! The hotel bar downstairs was so busy and vibrant we had been worried we wouldn't sleep, but once you were in the lift and on the way up to the bedrooms you literally felt like you were in a different building.

For anyone wanting a more fulfilling and unhealthy breakfast the Hoxton Grill downstairs provided some delicious and reasonably priced options. A full English was £10, which for London represents really good value. The egg & bacon bap was to die for, as was the coffee.

Situated in one if the trendiest parts of London (Old Street underground less than 5 mins away) this hotel is perfectly placed to explore Spitalfields market (well worth a visit) and Brick lane by day and then sample the numerous bars and restaurants in the area by night. The hotel itself had a great cocktail list, a table tennis table, a photo booth and huge iMacs - so plenty to keep you amused.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat - we couldn't fault a thing about our stay and in fact have already booked to go back again for our wedding anniversary in a few weeks.

Just one last thing to mention - having checked the website recently it does appear the prices have increased vastly since we booked this weekend, which is a real shame. I guess when you have something good you can charge for it: however it's still well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to London as you never know & it might still represent better value for money than the overpriced Premier Inn's, as we guarantee you'll have a much better experience for your money here!

Why THANK you! Great to hear you enjoyed your two days with us, made use of the whole hotel and explored the local area. Our rates do vary, depending on availability - just remember the earlier you book the lower the rates. Hope to see you again real soon.

Six of us stayed for wedding in London. Staff so helpful arranging taxis and so on. The rooms although not big we're beautifully decorated very trendy, the beds comfy with beAutiful white linen. A massive tv , .( not that we had time to watch it) water and fresh milk provided daily. Really there is no criticism whatsoever and we will definitely return.

Room Tip: They are all doubles

A few of us booked rooms for a family wedding in London over an August weekend. Pro's: gorgeous building, great location for Shoreditch attractions, ace air conditioned rooms, spotlessly clean, helpful staff, inspiring decor, attention to detail such as fresh milk in rooms, cute breakfast bag delivered to room and good toiletries. Con's: the foyer bar becomes noisy and extremely busy at night, complete with bouncers – slightly intimidating for anyone not bar hopping. Having said that it does what it does very well and the pro's outweigh the cons – I definitely plan to return.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor if you are staying at weekend and want an early night - the bar gets noisy an...

This is my second time staying at the Hoxton, and i look forward to returning again.
The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive, the Hoxton Grill serves delicious food and drinks and the location is perfect.
The breakfast bags were great for each morning on the go, and the free bottles of water each day were an added bonus.
My room was meticulously cleaned every day, with a very modern/hipster feel and the shower is possibly the best shower i've ever had in a hotel.
Incredibly comfortable beds as well as air conditioning in the room and a massive TV...
Would highly recommend

Loved staying here this weekend - the decor is super stylish, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the cocktails and atmosphere in the bar are brilliant. Our room would probably have been a bit noisy had we gone to bed before the bar closed, but as we did not this wasn't an issue! Ask for a room on a higher floor if you need to get some shut eye at the weekend!
Great experience would definitely come back.

Had an absolutely fantastic night here. It was a nice little touch to provide a mini fridge with milk and 2 bottles of water in, as well as wine glasses. There was also an option to leave out 'breakfast bags' overnight, where by the morning you could find orange juice, a banana and a yoghurt in it. The shower was also huge, and the bed as comfy as it gets.

The staff were very friendly and would definitely recommend to friends and family.
