“The flavours are what matter”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

We booked this very new restaurant via their website that gives you a discount if you book at earlier times.
We were early as the restaurant (20 seats only) opens at 6 p.m. but no worries as the wine bar opposite was great and my hat off to the slightly Caribbean man at the bar he was so switched on!
Despite not being expected the staff very quickly picked up and within minutes we had a little snack, drinks and menus. Basically you can order 5/6/7/8 (or maybe more) courses and have them with a glass of wine for each course which we opted for the cheaper wines. The sommelier knows his stuff and was engaging and this made our evening go smoothly.
So the food was excellently cooked infact to perfection and came out VERY fast served by a gang of Spanish & Italian young ladies who took great care as well. The cod smelt just amazing as did the sauce reduction on the red meat course. I should add we are talking of small portions here but after 6 or 7 that worked out very well.
If l was being critical , l would say the weakness were the puddings, but we were treated to a Chinese ice wine, and that was a first.
It costs around £110 per head including the Ruinart Champagne that we decided to start with so really £95 per head does everything.
