This hotel was well located to see the sights of London. The staff was excellent The room was comfortable, Restaurant and service excellent. As a place to stay as a family or on business the price was good for the location and all the necessary conveniences were within walking and public transport distance. Having stayed in several Premier inns there quality and value is thoroughly recommended.

I stayed at the Premier Inn London City - Tower Hill in February 2014 for one night only. It was ideally situated to get me straight to the tube and had plenty of affordable restaurants as well as a Tesco store nearby. The staff were really friendly, ready to help with anything and the breakfast was well worth the money. I chose the hotel because of its location to attend a family event, but am returning in April with my family as a tourist. The area couldn't be topped for families travelling to central London - it's just up the road from HMS Belfast and of course the Tower with all the tourist activities there as well as a child-friendly theatre and access to Tower bridge. I was perturbed to see signs saying thieves operated in the area and plain clothes police worked the area also, as this made me feel a little insecure, but I found nothing to be worried about, I think in London or any large city you need simply to be on your guard no matter where you are. Back to the hotel, though, it was quiet, comfortable, the bedroom was much larger than I had expected. No fridge, but a kettle with milk and tea/coffee/sugar. A powerful and good-sized shower. Breakfast more than ample - the breakfast manager/greeter stole the show though - a friendly, super-helpful person who really made me feel welcome and clearly enjoyed sending people off to their day of business or pleasure with a smile on their faces. Nice job Premier Inn.

We stayed just one night at the hotel. Beautiful area (5mins from Tower Bridge and very close to Tower Hill tube station). The staff were wonderful and when we arrived, 2 hours before we should have been able to access the room, let us in as the previous guests had already left and the room was clean. I was able the check in online prior to arrival so no paperwork and no fuss. The only bad thing was another guest on our for decided it was okay to smoke weed, making the corridor sick and some of us feel quite queasy. The was the morning after. The hotel staff could not apologise enough and have us a full refund as an apology. It was sad because they had been wonderful but going that extra mile really impressed us. We would definitely visit again.

I usually stay in the Tower Bridge area but only needed a room for one night. I booked a budget price room and it was excellent value for money. Room was large, if a little odd shaped, however it was clean and comfortable. Staff at reception were very welcoming and friendly and even though I was early, it was no trouble to get me a room so I was checked in and in my room within 10 minutes of arriving. There is a bar and Costa Coffee within the hotel. I was aware of the good night guarantee but had a very quiet and comfortable sleep. I didn't pay for breakfast here as I ate at Wetherspoons across the road for a few pounds less than the £8.95 advertised. It is a short walk to Tower Hill and Tower Gateway stations so very central for either Central London or London City Airport. Would definitely come back again.

Room Tip: Had a room overlooking the back of the Church next door so no outside noise.

Arrived before 1pm and were checked in to the room immediately by a very friendly and helpful man. Had a family room which was very large and comfortable even with boys of 15 and 13. Wardrobe good size for a couple of nights but would find it too small for a week. Good size shower room, plenty of hot water. Breakfast excellent value as kids eat for free. A couple of minutes walk to the tube and bus stop, and half a minute from Wetherspoons. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night last week (January 2014). The room was a reasonable size, and well equipped with a hairdryer and shampoo/shower gel in the shower.

The bedroom had a desk, large entrance lobby area, good hanging and cupboard space and a safe. There were several hangers in the wardrobe and a full length mirror. There was a television and telephone in the room, and adequate lighting. My only complaints about the room would be that although there was a hairdryer (of adequate power), it was situated in such a position that it would only just stretch so that you could see in a mirror whilst holding it - the mirror could do with being a bit closer to the centre of the desk. Also, there was an air conditioning vent / fan outside our bedroom window which kept clicking on overnight but this wasnt too much of a distraction.

The bathroom wasnt huge, and had a shower rather than a bath but it was a large cubicle and the shower was quite powerful.

The hotel bar was good and sold quite a variety of drinks. We didnt eat in the restaurant. The staff were very helpful and there was a room where we left our bags after checking out during the day.

Around the area - Tower Hill tube is a few minute walk away and there are bars and restaurants aplenty in the surrounding area plus the DLR between the hotel and the tube. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge are only across the road from the tube.

Overall I think that the area is a good base for touring London, and the hotel is affordable and comfortable.

I often stay at this Premier Inn. It is about a 5-minute walk from Tower Hill tube station and is fairly quiet. It's often priced cheaper than the Premier Inns in the West End. It's clean and comfortable and has a little coffee area and restaurant.
