“Great location if working in the city”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Having previously had a good stay at this hotel when visiting London on business I booked again.

I was pleased to get a room at the end of a corridor as requested as I am a light sleeper and lots of people trooping past making a noise is not for me.

The room was really large and comfortable. It was facing the road but being up on a high floor the road noise was not an issue.

The only down side was another inconsiderate guest banging their door shut at 3.30am in the morning which did wake me.

I just had a Continental breakfast in the morning as I am not keen on the hot breakfast in this hotel as it is not cooked to order as in some Premier Inns, and you have to help yourself to cooked breakfast from a hot plate which means you have no idea how long it has been there.

The staff were friendly and helpful and did ask as I checked out if I had a good night. I told them about the person who banged the door in the early hours and they did kindly offer me a refund based on the Good Night Guarantee but I refused this on the basis that it is beyond the control of the hotel when other guests are inconsiderate and let doors slam.

I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: A room at the back of the hotel and on the end of a corridor for maximum peace and quiet.

Nice spot with a very reasonable prince for centre of London. Friendly receptionist on check in. Comfy and large room allocated. All good so far....then I decided to pay £22.99 for the dinner and breakfast package. Seriously wish I hadn't bothered. The main course was nice - when I eventually got something to eat. Not due to a delay in the kitchen but with the waiting on staff. Got shown to a table, my food voucher was taken and then........nothing - completely ignored until I managed to catch someone's attention 30 plus minutes later to ask for a menu. There are just 17 people in huge restaurant at the moment and I have now been sitting with a sweet menu in front of me having been ignored now for at least 40 minutes. Really not good enough. Recommend you AVOID (the restaurant not the hotel)

We have just returned from a one night stay and cannot praise this hotel enough. The rooms are a fantastic size, very clean with a really comfy bed & a brilliant shower. The staff were really helpful & friendly. The location is really good, close to Tower Bridge & the Tower of London & with Tower Hill tube station only a 5 minute walk away it is easy to see all the London sights. We travelled as a party of 7 & all of us really enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay here again.

Just stayed for one night with my hubby and two kids. The room was huge - even with a king size bed, two singles and a cot there was plenty of room to walk around and leave the buggy up. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the room really clean. The staff were very attentive an helpful.
My daughter hasn't stopped going on about how much nicer it was to other chains we usually use.
Only cost £60 for a Friday night so great value too!

We enjoyed our stay at Premier Inn London City (Tower Hill). Hotels in London are so expensive, and a friend in the UK suggested we look at Premier Inns—they are no frills, but pride themselves on having comfortable beds, etc. We were pleasantly surprised at the spacious rooms and great showers, with the excellent service (thank you Adrienne and Carmen), and the quite impressive breakfast. The location was very convenient—walking distance to the Tower of London and quite close to the Tower Hill tube station, which was great for sightseeing in the central London area.

Stayed for one night, myself, my 16 year old daughter, her friend(15) and my grandaughter (7). Tube station about 5 mins walk, Dockland's railway even closer. Lovely comfy room, clean with great beds -1 huge bed, 2 singles. Breakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked, as much as you want and free for the younger two .The staff are great, really helpful, friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again...
