the employees were very polite but the service was not very good....no clean towels, asked for extra pillows got them the last day, stairs were horrible, not lift...but good location. I dont think i would stay there again.

First night was ok apart from the room which was no bigger than a cupboard with the smallest double bed ever seen. The window looked onto a brick wall and no light got into the room so it was always dark. The public toilet was outside the door and the night staff used it all night, letting the door bang after them. The staff made more noise than anyone, banging doors and talking very loudly. We arrived for breakfast at 08:45 (after checking the day before that this would be ok) and were told it finished at 9am! We pointed this out and a very very rude man agreed we could have it. Another family asked for orange juice and coffee but were told there was none so their daughter could not have a drink!! The manager was then called and the drinks appeared! The carpets are dirty and the place is dated! To the manger: you own two hotels there, how about updating the rooms and making your paying guests feel welcome!
We booked a parking space and had to wait an hour for someone to move their car so we could get out!
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! We felt we were only there to increase the owners bank balance.

The breakfast is very good, as is the location near Paddington and Hyde Park (really good beer at the Kendal on Connaught Road! - head towards Hyde Park)

But the room itself was the worst I have had in London, and I visit regularly. Room no1 is in the basement next to the kitchen, so you get all the noise and all the smell of the breakfast fry-up - before getting out of bed.

Cleanliness average, room tiny, bathroom impossibly small, breakfast staff very pleasant. Cheap but well below minimum standards. One to avoid.

Room Tip: Don't take number 1!

We have stayed at the Belmont hotel at the beginning of April. The location of the hotel was perfect. 5 minutes’ walk to the subway, about 10-15 minutes’ walk to Hyde Park and Oxford Street. The room was small and the bathroom was even smaller, but it was ok for a short stay. The cleanliness was good and the breakfast was great. If we travel to London in the future, we would choose this hotel again.

Just perfect for a short stay in London. Really near Paddington underground station, near small shops and pubs. The room was well-heated and bit noisy because of the traffic all night, but we got used to it very fast. Good breakfast, you can choose what you like and they serve you. We only paid £290 for 3 for 3 nights, so you can't expect top quality, but it's perfect if you want to stay in central London without spending too much on your accomodation.
