I stumbled on this cafe whilst walking to Waterloo Station. The sandwich boards outside the shop caught my eye and as I was hungry I went inside. I'm so glad I did. Downstairs is the counter where you can order takeaways (sandwhiches, coffee etc) and pay your bill. Upstairs is a small seating area (at a guess space sitting around 15 to 20 people) which is really nice. Exposed brick wall and floor to ceiling windows makes for a light and airy space for the size. Anyway, to the point. I had ordered my breakfast at the counter downstairs as I was unsure of the protocol for this cafe but I also witnessed people ordering from their tables. The gent who took my order was very friendly and polite. Less than 10 minutes later my meal was put in front of me, all massive portion, freshly cooked and steaming hot plate of it. It was greasy spoon type food but not cooked greasy spoon style. The food was not dripping in fat or sliding all over the plate. The toast was generously buttered and the coffee was wonderful. A good quality 'Full English' & drink for £5.50 which is pretty good for London.
At less than 5 mins walk from Waterloo Station concourse, I have just found my new regular London eaterie. Highly recommended!!
