We've just gotten home after an amazing night's stay at this hotel on my partners birthday. I was fortunate enough to have won this stay through a competition at work as £500 a night is a tad steep!
I advised the hotel a few days prior to arrival of my girlfriend's birthday and received an email to say they'd provide a cake in the room. We got there early (just before 1pm) but were told.our room would be ready in just 15 minutes, Suzanne the receptionist must us feel extremely welcome and after a short wait admiring the stunning views she personally came to get us and showed us to our Room. And Wow! What a room!! Far and away the nicest rooms I've had the pleasure to stay in!! A huge bathroom with a stand alone bathtub in the middle of the room, again with fantastic views, plus a huge separate shower and a TV above the sink (great for watching the world cup in!).
After spending the night out at a show we arrived back to the hotel about midnight and decided to head up to the bar on the 52nd floor, luckily for us at that time it had a couple of tables free but I would advise booking to avoid disappointment as it's something that you really don't want to miss! The city's stunning at night and once again the staff were very friendly!
Breakfast the next morning followed on from experience's we'd had the day before, fortunately breakfast was included as part of the package but the choices are vast, we plumped for the smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and sour dough bread which was lovely!
Overall the whole experience was amazing, the staff seemed to bend over backwards to make our stay as memorable as possible (despite some people staying there treating them with disdain which unfortunately seemed to happen on a couple of occasions!). Yes there have been a couple of teething problems but I for one would happily go back again!
