“Home Away from Home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

We stayed here for a week in June 2014. Very convenient to the Gloucester Rd tube station and the sights in that area.
Courteous staff that do everything with the minimum of fuss.
Well appointed suite that was comfortable for safe chartered breakfast, full washing machine for laundry and comfortable seats.
Wonderful.

Room Tip: Ask for a front room on 4th floor

What a great surprise and relief to find ourselves in a roomy apartment after staying in tiny but beautiful designer boutique hotels in major European cities! Everything you need, even free laundry facilities in the basement were welcomed! The room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was newly renovated! We chose Queens Gate because it was blocks away from the Natural History Museum, V&A and Gloucester Rd Tube is just around the corner. I highly recommend Fraser Suite!

We had a wonderful 5-night stay here. These suites are spacious and well-furnished with modern and new kitchenettes and bathrooms. The kitchen included an undercounter refrigerator, a cooktop, microwave, sink, cabinets and drawers for dishes, silver and glassware, cooking and baking pans and utensils and cutlery. There was a hot kettle and a nicely varied supply of teas, coffees, sugars and biscuits restocked daily. Everything new and clean.
Our bed was VERY COMFORTABLE and what would be called "king-sized" in America. We had an "Executive Suite", which also included a table and chairs and a sofa that can be made into a pull-out extra bed. The large flat-screen TV on the wall could be viewed from the sofa or the bed. The decor was lovely and all new. Room-darkening drapes worked well for sleeping in after late nights at the theatre. The friendly staff went above and beyond, helping with printing vouchers, calling taxis, taking luggage down to the taxi when we checked out, etc.

The WiFi connection was strong throughout the building, and the business room conveniently supplied iPads for guest use.

The location was fabulous, with many restaurants, grocery stores, Gloucester tube station, and a post office very close. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel, with Bus 74 running right to Harrod's. The Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, and Science Museum were just a few blocks walk, as was Kensington Palace, also.

The air-conditioning worked well, and was very quiet. There was a complimentary laundry room with new, full-size washers and dryers for guest use.

Room Tip: Our suite was above the street perpendicular to Cromwell Road and VERY quiet. We never noticed nois...

It was a pleasant stay for us with good location. We booked this hotel for our first night in LonDon. It has a good location so it makes us an easy journey to travel to our first stop after a long flight from UK. The breakfast is good with a variety of choices, including assorted hams, cheese, coffee and bread. The staff are also very nice and helpful.

We stayed here for 3 nights in June 2014. I wanted to be close to the museums and this place is 1 block away from the Natural History Museum. Kensington is a wealthy neighborhood and this hotel is made of 2 blocks of converted mini-mansion type of row-houses.

We were first offered larger apartments at the basement level (windows below street level), but we preferred to be on higher floor. Those apartments are definitely larger with multiple rooms but have lower ceilings.

The rooms on the other floors have high ceilings, The decor is white walls with dark wood furnishings. There's a kitchenette in the room, there's a free laundry room. Rooms are big with nice furnishings. There are both a kitchen table with chairs for eating meals as well as a writing desk. In addition, there are two padded chairs acting as a small living room area. The bathroom was large and done in modern grey tile. Wifi worked fine throughout the hotel and it was free.
There was a safe, iron & board in the closet.

The downside is that its is a mostly residential area with no restaurants. So you need to walk ~5 long blocks to streets with commercial stores like restaurants. They have a very nice catering service for room service, but it'll be about $40/meal. By the time you have walked to outside restaurants, you're in the Knightsbridge neighborhood with some very fancy department stores - such as Harrods, Harvey Nichols. Our room faced Cromwll road, a major artery so there was some traffic noise you could hear, but not too bad.

Overall, very happy with the experience.

Room Tip: Perhaps not a room along Cromwell road for less noise.

We normally stay in a hotel when we visit the Royal Albert Hall but this time got a good deal on an apartment at the Fraser Suites and were motivated by the flexibility this offered.
As well as our love for the Arts we also like good food and that is tricky when attending the Opera because you either eat early, or suffer the crush afterwards in the better establishments.

We like to cook so the availability of facilities was right up our street. Before the Opera we popped into Waitrose at the end of the road and bought some fine steaks and other delicacies to prepare on our return.

It all worked very well. The show was fantastic and we delighted to able back to our very comfortable apartment and prepare our own supper with a great bottle of wine and chill out with a little trash TV.

The place is central for everything and the staff are great.

Room Tip: Park on the street free after 1.30pm on Saturday and all day Sunday. We got there early and waited f...

I had stayed at these apartments a few years ago and i was pleasantly surprised at the newly renovated apartments. The studio executive i stayed in was spacious contemporary and very comfortable. The kitchenette had everything needed and there were two tvs in the sitting area and bedroom. I enjoyed my stay there and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent close to the tube, central london, museums and lots of attractions. Will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms close the elevator if you do a lot of shopping are great.
