“Disappointing”
Reviewed 31 July 2010

The hotel is situated in Canary Wharf, but quite far from all the facilities. The personnel was quite rude; at 21.30 I ask for slippers and they told me that the housekeeping was closed and that they could not do anything. I believe this is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. The bedroom was ok, but not luxury at all.

Dear Reviewer,

Thankyou for taking a moment to express your views on your recent stay at New Providence Wharf. I am sincerely sorry to hear that you found your stay at the hotel disappointing. I have personally discussed the housekeeping issue regarding the slippers with the team to ensure that this does not happen again.
I hope that in the future you will return to the hotel and take advantage of our services such as the East River Spa which includes a wet spa area and relaxation room. If I can be of any assistance with future reservations in the future that please do not hesitate to contact me via the hotel.

Kind Regards

Abigail Smith

We stayed here as it was good value and offered the well being of the sauna and relaxation facilities. If returning again I think a relaxing massage would be on the cards as the health suite offered a great deal. Overall I would recommend this hotel for its exceptional quality. Although out of the city it is superb. Staff were most helpful indeed when pointing us towards a nearby sweet pub on the side of the Thames (with delightful rear balcony terrace) which served exellent food although a little overpriced we thought!
"The Gun" ...a must for a relaxing candlelit dinner in romantic surroundings.
On exiting the DLR tube station the hotel is the other side of a busy road (access via road tunnel) in amongst typical new high rise developments akin to docklands in an upmarket new area or the city. Reaching the hotel gives an immediate air of quality, gate security and imposing entrance. A Macdonalds is close by for snacks too (you pass it on way from DLR station). The area is safe and well lit. Just allow an extra half hour on the tube/DLR and its well worth the journey. We stayed in central London the following night and paid the same rate for a tired and grubby hotel, poor room also yet quick and easy access to the city. I know which I would prefer in future!! If you like sumptuous accommodation, intimate and romantic surroundings with the city close by then give it a try. You will love the pub too...ask reception for a little printout map as they gave us. The hotel has a restaurant and bar but is very new and swish, we wanted "old London", it did not dissapoint. Enjoy

Dear Reviewer,
My heartfelt gratitude for your wonderful review of the Radisson New Providence Wharf Hotel - I could not have put it better myself!!
It really is a gem of a hotel, the quality of the product and the surroundings that it sits in are just simply stunning! There is no hotel like it in London! For your next visit you may want to have a couples treatment with your partner in the Spa before enjoying a wonderfully romantic dinner in the Azure Restaurant - a special night in a special setting!
If I can be of any assistance with future reservations please do not hesitate to contact me via the hotel.
Kind regards,

Hotel was excellent, room spacious and short walk from the nearest tube or DLR. Bar prices cheaper than the local Slug and Lettuce.

Staff very helpful and room kept very clean.

Highly recommended.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking a moment to comment on your wonderful stay at the Radisson New Providence Wharf Hotel. As you have highlighted our bar prices are very competitive and what you won't get anywhere else is the amazing setting - on the River overlooking the Thames and the O2 - it really has to be seen to be believed!
I do hope next time you will have the opportunity to visit the East River Spa for a relaxing massage or to use the complimentary Gym - both are well worth a visit !
If I can be any assistance with regards to future reservations please do not hesitate to contact me via the hotel.

If you like a modern, convenient, clean & comfortable hotel the Radisson is a jewel BUT

IT IS A VERY NOISY HOTEL!!!!

The rooms are not fitted with double doors hence you get the door slamming, corridor discussion noise strait into your room......annoying in the daytime this gets out of hand at night and makes for sleepless/interupted nights...........

On arrival reception staff were polite and welcoming, handling our check in efficiently, the room was well prepared, very comfortable with commanding views over the River Thames. The large bathroom was a particular delight, bright, airy and well equipped with plenty of soft towels. I have tried hard to find something to criticise, but have to admit I have been unable to do so.

Very average hotel. There is very little in the immediate area for restaurants. The O2 and Canary Wharf are close but this hotel is priced as if it was in the middle of Canary Wharf. Staff was not particularly friendly. Overall, there was nothing bad - ie, clean, neat, nice health club, but neither was there anything that stood out.

Dear Traveller,
Thank you for your review of the Radisson New Providence Wharf Hotel. I am sorry that you felt that there was very little around the hotel in terms of restaurants, just to clarify there is a fantastic Italian restaurant and a Gastropub located very close by and with all the bars and restaurants in Canary Wharf on the doorstep there is a huge amount of choice! In terms of pricing we are always the most competive hotel in the area! What you don't get at the Radisson New Providence Wharf is the hustle and bustle of Canary Wharf, it is more calm and relaxing!
Kind regards
Paul Duggan
