We've stayed at the Haymarket at two occasions the last two years. Haymarket is centrally located for theatres, excellent restaurants and shopping. We had the concierge make dinner recommendations and reservations for us: excellent recommendations. The hotel is of the smaller ones, it has a great lobby area, and a lounge area with an honesty bar where we also had a wonderful afternoon tea on both occasions, before our departure. The rooms are larger than the average hotel rooms. Both rooms we've stayed in have been very spacious, and the Kit Kemp decor makes the hotel feel as a home away from home. We loved spending some time at the hotel after hours of shopping/sightseeing on a cold November day. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The breakfast in the Brumus caters for all tastes, and they will prepare almost whatever you ask for. We couldn't use the pool area the first time we were there, it was closed due to a private function. It was open the second time we were there, it was a stylish and tranquil pool area, almost worth the wait. We were sad to leave, and would recommend the hotel without hesitation if you want to splash out.

This was our third visit to London and they Haymarket Hotel is our favorite hotel by far.

Location - The hotel is conveniently located in the theater district and is situated for easy access to the business district and tourist sites. we were there on business and extended for pleasure, so the location was perfect. While the location is in the theater district you would think it would be noisy, it was not. It is next two a couple of theaters, but a few blocks from Picadilly Square, so you get access to the bustling theater district without all the late night activity. We prefer to walk when we travel to see more. This location is close to shopping, theaters, and major historical sites. For visiting further sites, it is close to the Tube.

Hotel/Accommodations - This is a smaller hotel (which we prefer). The staff (doormen, desk, restaurant) are friendly and remembers your name. The room was larger than most you find in Europe and was extremely comfortable. The bedding was very comfortable, had a seating and work area, and was very clean. The bathroom was also larger than what we usually find in Europe and easily accommodated two of us.

Amenities - The hotel has a beautiful indoor pool, a restaurant, bar, and a nice lounge area with honor bar for guests. Our rate included breakfast, and it was very good and served with a smile. We dit not have dinner at the hotel, but did have some appetizers in the bar (service and food was very good). The lounge and honor bar was a nice touch for relaxing after a long day when you want some quiet.

The only negative is that after six nights here we went to Paris and were disappointed with our Paris room we kept wishing we were back at the Haymarket.

I highly recommend and will stay here on our next trip.

Room Tip: We reqiuested an off street room and were very happy.

When one is away from home, one wants to stay in a place which conveys the feeling to you that you matter. This hotel does that. The decor, the room, the bed, the breakfast, the shower, the bath towels - simply everything is done to a high degree of excellence and, as with anything, when you do things well, you are going to have fans. I am a fan of this hotel.

The experience started even before entering the hotel with the reservation service who was so helpful, proactive and super insightful. Then the entrance and a sense of coziness , honey yet super artsy feel. The concierge offered a tour of the common areas; gorgeous
And then the room: a one bedroom suite stunning! Super comfortable and cozy, art everywhere: creative, like a modern doll house. Everything is made and has been created for you to feel really good until the design scent of the soap and body lotion... What a pleasure.

We visited London with a fairly large family group -- we had six large and beautifully furnished junior suites (each one was decorated differently!) with beds so comfy that it was hard to get up in the morning. The public rooms are also each decorated differently and are so pleasant and welcoming that we spent several evenings moving from area to area in the hotel instead of heading out into the city. I can't say enough about the excellent staff -- they knew all of our names the instant we first walked into the lobby and each person with whom we came into contact made us feel wonderfully welcome. We had a delicious breakfast each morning in the Brumus restaurant -- the hostess knew which table we liked and our waiter remembered what drinks and food we typically ordered. Special thanks to our lovely room service server who very cheerfully followed us from area to area whenever we "stayed in" in the evening. This is our new favorite hotel and we can hardly wait to go back!

Room Tip: The junior suites are beautiful and very large -- even the rooms on the busy street are completely q...

Hotel is extraordinary clean & beautiful from inside if not bustling on the outside. Very central for Soho, Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square & Covent Garden, hotel could not be better located. But the true magic of the hotel is in it's unique appearance, the Staff are unbelievably polite for London, the rooms are luxurious & the breakfast & food total quality.

You will find this Gem hard to beat in London, no matter how extravagant the name or the appearance of a known hotel.

I don't think we could afford this hotel, on our budget, personally speaking, but for a bit of luck in winning a competition. But what an experience nevertheless. Welcomed throughout very well trained or naturally polite staff were brilliant. Rooms were intensely comfortable & kept clean. The Bathroom was exceptional personified. Completely kitted out with stunning showers, baths, mirrors & a TV!

Picked a weekend with St. Georges Day celebration & London Marathon finish on Sunday meant millions descending on London. Activities galore with a visit to National Gallery for hours together with a Theatre trip & invitation to Planet Hollywood on Sunday, meant an unforgettable weekend by any stretch of the imagination.

We found the hotel very tranquil place to come back to & relax & re-charge. We would recommend this hotel without any hesitation. What an experience & what a weekend. Reluctant to leave but for every day 'chore' living & maintaining our teenager children.

Room Tip: Unfortunately, you have to pay to sleep in the courtyard side. Very quite! Hotel has an upgrade pol...
