This one's in an excellent location for all the stations from the North of the UK. Rooms are predictably good but this one has a particularly good breakfast service (can't comment about evenings) and the staff are plentiful and attentive.

really handy if traveling to Kings Cross or St Pancras (5 minutes walk) and superb for heading town/west end etc. this Premier Inn is one of those converted offices so its not got much character and certainly, this place is in need of a 'lick of paint' and general maintenance isn't that great. The staff were all very good, polite and helpful and friendly. If you want a base to explore London and if you can catch the room rate at the right time, then its absolutely fine. We paid £620 for 3 nights (2 adults, 1 kid) including breakfast but I wouldn't have paid any more. Ultimately, I'd go back in the right circumstances. It might be too far 'out of town' for some who just want to see the sites but we didn't mind.

This is our hotel of choice every time we visit London. It is always kept clean & tidy. The restaurant is always a very high standard & we always look forward to the breakfast!!!! The staff are welcoming especially Fatima on reception is a absolute credit to the hotel as is Jennis ( I think that’s her name from the restaurant). Will stay here again on our return to London

We stayed for 2 separate nights in June when we had to catch the Eurostar to Disneyland Paris. Due to the timings of the Eurostar we had to stay overnight in London at each end of our trip. The first night was a Saturday night, cost £185, which was around £50 dearer than the following Friday cost us.

The hotel is just so conveniently situated. We arrived at Paddington on the Saturday afternoon and caught a taxi which dropped us directly opposite the hotel. The hotel is opposite the British Library, with St Pancras and Kings Cross stations literally just down the road, a 5 minute walk away.

Check in was simple and on the second night, I checked in online in advance, which meant that I simply had to give my name and collect my key when I arrived. Premier Inn is usually the same standard of room wherever you stay, and this was no exception. The room was clean and tidy with refreshments provided. There was a USB charging point which was great and plenty of sockets to plug in our other chargers to top up ipads etc.

The hotel had a Thyme restaurant in it, which we used on each night. It was busy, but never full. There is a good meal deal where you can buy 2 courses and a breakfast for around £25. The kids meal deal cost around £5.50 for 2 courses and a drink. Kids under 16 eat free at breakfast. The service in Thyme was brilliant, very friendly attentive staff.

In the morning to get to the Eurostar, we literally had to walk 5 minutes down the road to get to the Eurostar departures for 9.30am, which meant that we had a stress free start to the day.

On our return from DLP, it was again so stress free to walk 5 minutes up the road, knowing that we had a room and table waiting. We had breakfast the following morning and there was plenty of choice and no huge queues or waiting.

I would highly recommend this PI to anyone travelling on the Eurostar. The direct train on the Sunday morning leaves around 10.15 and we cannot get to London before then from our local stations. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I ever make it back to DLP
