We stayed four people for two nights in a room with a master bed and a sofa bed were the kids slept.
There was a small kitchen and a fridge so we bought our own breakfast.
There kitchen had a water boiler and tea and coffee.
Our room was clean and had a modern feel to it.
The bathroom was also modern and clean with a standup shower.

The location was great, a quiet street, 5-10 min walk to four different tube stations on four different lines.
And a 5 min walk away is Queensway with a lot of shops and restaurants if you don't want to go down to the city.
We did a lot of shopping on Regent Street and Oxford Street and it was so easy to just get on a double-decker bus (excellent for the kids) in the afternoon and get off at Leinster Terrace for a 10 min walk back to the hotel.

We didn't have much contact with the staff but they were nice and service minded and there was no problem to leave our luggage in the lobby for the whole last day because our flight was in the evening.

The price was OK considering it's London. We paid almost £400 for two nights for the four of us.

Regarding things to do i London I can recommend a trip round the London Eye but be there half an hour before they open up to avoid the crowds, it's worth it.
After London Eye we walked over the Westminster Bridge, looked at Parliament and Big Ben and then walked through St. James's park up to Buckingham Palace and saw the changing the guards ceremony.

I'm not so sure about Madame Tussauds though. It cost us £110 for the four of us and the kids barely recognized half of the figures and we walked through it quite quickly.

Shopping on Regent street and and Oxford street is great. Hamley's toy shop on Regent street is a must if you have kids.

The hotel is less than five minutes from Bayswater tube station which is one stop from Paddington on the District & Circle Lines.
I was greeted by a very pleasant and efficient young lady, check in was simple and quick. I was shown to room 10 on the ground floor just next to reception. The room appeared to have been recently refurbished and was spotlessly clean. Being a female, travelling alone I did not relish the prospect of dining out so the 'kitchenette' facilities which had a fridge, microwave and sink enabled me to eat in my room. I must add the shower was excellent which hasn't always been my experience. The big plus was I felt safe.

We recently went to London for a trip- the Cleveland is a very clean hotel with very helpful staff. Although slightly away from some of the main attractions of London, being close to 4 different tube stations and a number of bus lines was extremely helpful. Very quiet neighbourhood with a good room size for London.

Room Tip: The upper rooms on the top floor you have to use stairs to get to, though they're kind of cool i...

Very nice quiet location but near the tube to get into the city centre. Bayswater is quiet but quite a lot of restaurants, not many lively bars though.
The hotel rooms were very clean and spacious (for London). We stayed in an executive suite. The kitchenette is in a cupboard but is handy to have a fridge.
No hot water on the last day which was very annoying but they refunded half the money for that night.

My wife and I recently stayed here having gone down on the train for a three day break in London. Just under 10 minutes from Paddington Station and about 5 minutes from Bayswater Underground. Nicely situated in a quiet area with a great local pub the Cleveland Arms just a minutes stroll away. It doesn't look too much like a hotel from the outside, but hey, does that really matter? Inside was very clean and all the staff we met at reception were polite and helpful. We got there early and they kindly allowed us to leave our bags there whilst we went into the City and as we went to see the Jersey Boys on the first night, we didn't get back till nearly 11pm, but this wasn't a problem and we were duly shown to our room which was down stairs. We had no view, but the Hotel was somewhere for us to get our heads down, so that wasn't a problem. The room was a decent size with a good comfortable bed and nice and clean. We didn't use the built in catering facilities as we ate out and with several cheap cafes in Bayswater for breakfast it wasn't a problem. The shower was fairly small, but had good power, although the temperature did keep going up and down, but never sufficient to scald you. Useful safe built in and Tea/Coffee facilities. A nice touch was the free coffee machine in reception. As a short break holiday hotel I would certainly recommend it and if we go back to London, we will certainly consider using it again. If you do go, be sure to go and see Stomp, an amazing show. They also allowed us to leave our bag with them on the last day whilst we did our final tour of the city which was very kind.

Room Tip: We had a basement room and although no view, it was perfectly acceptable

My partner and I stayed here at the beginning of January 2012 for three nights.

The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from Bayswater tube station but it is a bit confusing if you are walking for the first time so please consult your maps first! We walked around Cleveland Sq twice before finding it but that was more us than the hotels fault.

When we arrived at the hotel we were checked in by a lovely lady although there was some confusion as the room was just being carpeted and was not ready even after 2pm which was the check in time. When the room was ready one of the mgrs took us up and the room was lovely. It was a little cramped but this was not a problem to us. The bed was like a cloud of pure heaven and I take judging my beds very seriously! The bathroom was small but the shower was good. We hardly used any of the self catering facilities but it was pretty cool how it had been built into a cupboard like it is and was also fully stocked and clean.
We were not told how to go about ordering the breakfast when we checked in and as I am very a very stubborn lady we just jumped into Tesco and bought some rolls instead!
We used this hotel mainly as a base for a few days and I would highly recommend it as just that but the self catering aspect of the rooms means that everything you need is pretty much here. It became our own little London home.
Would definitely stay here if we were heading back to London especially because of its great location and comfortable stay!
